Very tough for Kell to win this, going to the other guys back yard.
if Eddie had coughed up the dough, and got Porter to the UK, I think Kell would have a v good chance... But it's a hard call, because there's quite a few questions about both characters here.....Kell - because it's taken him an absolute age to step up for the big fight, and Porter....well there's a nagging question about ..is he really on the up and up ?
All of a sudden he's a massive power puncher ? Something seems a bit odd....

That said, I think Porter wins TKO

I think Brook will surprise a lot of people in this fight. He strikes me as the type of fighter who gets better when in with higher calibre opposition. His jab could stop a bull in it's tracks and that will be his best weapon in this fight to keep Porter at distance and punish him when he does attack. He won't have it all his own way but I feel Brook has better all round skills, reflexes, timing and accuracy. I think a lot of people are overestimating Porter based on his wins over Alexander and Malignaggi and I'm confident Kell would have beaten those two in similar fashion.

I think Kell wins this and I'll happily take the 21/10 odds for a Brook win...

I am not clued-up on Porter so don't know how steep the challenge is for Kell. Clearly, he must be pretty decent because it is a competitive division but I am backing Kell to do this. Winning in America for the Brits is no longer the freakish 'once in decade' event it used to be and I support the view that Brook is a fighter who has been on cruise control for a while and has a alot more to show us. Fingers firmly crossed for Kell!

I think it'll be a good fight, I've seen Porter only twice but I was impressed, more so that he just took his chance with no hesitation - didn't he step up, make the weight and make the best of the chance? In contrast, though Brook is by some way the best in Europe his move to mandatory challenger seems to have been as much as in waiting his time, meetings in offices etc rather than facing dangerous opposition. I can wholly appreciate the whys and wherefores as there's so much at stake.

If Brook is as good as the insiders say they'll be some humble pie being eaten (again) by me, he comes across as a very decent man, best of luck to him but I think Porter has certainly boxed and sparred better fighters and harder hitters.

Kell will be the bigger man for sure. Porter might be a little more muscle bound but height wise he's pretty damn short.
Brook seemed at least three inches taller in the head to head posted on the front page. He is clearly taller, but Porter is very well built and initially fought from 160-168 as a pro after an amateur career at 165. Height differentials often create the illusion of size differentials and I'm not sure if it's correct to say that Brook is the bigger man generally rather than just taller, though it wouldn't surprise me. You also questioned Porter's reach advantage, but it's not uncommon for shorter fighters to have longer reaches.

I think that Brook looked nervous, but I'm sure many fighters are nervous in comparable situations and nerves aren't always a bad thing. I've noticed that Froch has a similar look on fight night and has admitted to being quite nervous before bouts, yet he consistently delivers. Obviously people handle things differently and you suggested that nerves may have impaired Brook in a previous bout, and it may be that he doesn't mange them particularly well.

I think several questions will be answered on Saturday, and that might be one of them.

the height advantage of brook has really shocked me and could play a massive part if Porter cant get past the ram rod jab.

I've seen Porter fight more than Brook strangely and there is some credence in the theory that the Alexander/Maliginaggi performances are not the fighter we've seen before. He certainly rose to the occasion in those performances though and I favour him to overwhelm and stop Kell.
I think Brook I s a quality boxer though but have just not seen enough of him at a higher level.
Would love him to do the job .

Might come down to it on fight night but watching the weigh in he looked pissed off and mentally ready.

Porter talked about Brook's sweating, but Porter looked very dry and had to strip to make weight.
A sign Porter has struggled to make weight and had to dry out too much?
Is Porter going to fade?

To me it looked more like nerves than anger, and he had a similar expression at the weigh-in. Whatever he's feeling I think he'll probably have to manage it effectively to win.

I'm really looking forward to this one, was planning to record & watch in the morning but think I'll be setting the alarm for 3.30am instead, nothing like a live title fight from the States. Just hope Kell doesn't freeze on the night.

Froch is a bit of a freak/one off type of guy though in that respect I think. Also he has such a good chin that I think he gains confidence as the fight goes on because when he's getting tagged early on in fights his chin keeps him in the fight and he knows that he can turn it around. I dont think most fighters have that kind of confidence in their ability to withstand punishment and then come back to win kind of thing.

Kell seems VERY nervous in that interview, a bit like a fish out of water. Must seem very surreal to him, suddenly in the deep end, AND on the other guy's turf.
I don't often agree with FW, but in this case, I think he's right: fast Eddie should have really got his boy home advantage here, as I really doubt Porter has much pulling power in the US, so should have been doable.

I really hope Kell stands tall and get this guys respect early, because he'll need to. It's all about mental strength on Saturday night......

I watched the weigh-in stream, Porter said on there. Check this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjdyY8nlZhE at about 23 mins

Best not read too much into the weigh-in or pre-fight soundbites, they are rarely helpful.

I never thought he did in the rematch definitely was for the first fight though.
