Daniel Jacobs vs Dmitriy Chudinov in November

Post by vovazilvova »

Vladimir Hrunov, Chudinovs promoter said that they are in the middle of making a fight with Jacobs happen.

I see it pretty similar to Fletcher fight.

I dont see many who can beat Jacobs at Middleweight other then Golovkin.

Chudinov is much tougher than Fletcher.

Great fight. Glad they're not going with Jacobs/Quillin right away. I think Jacobs has a better shot at winning that fight in a year or two.

Let's see what happens. Danny's chin is a suspect. Dmitry's skills and possibly power are suspects too.

Fletcher was an average fighter. Jacobs is above average at the very least.

What ever happened to Dmitry Pirog? A few fights after stopping Jacobs he seemed fall completely off the map & hasnt fought in over 2 years. IMO Chudinov probably hits just as hard, but I think he lacks Pirog's overall skill set.

Pirog had some serious back problems apparantly and I think he has officially retired now but im not 100% sure on that so dont quote me on that lol

Why? Chudinov is much sturdier than the very chinny Fletcher and let's not forget that the latter was also destroyed in only two rounds by average hitting Billy Joe Saunders. Fletcher was tailor-made for Jacobs and didn't have the attributes (e.g. heavy hands, physical strength) to exploit Jacobs' questionable durability. Chudinov has those, and along with his greater durability it makes him a significantly more dangerous opponent.

Who do you think could beat Jacobs at MW? I haven't been particularly impressed and I think Quillin, the name he mentioned in his first post-fight interview, would stop him. However good he looked against Fletcher, who despite his limitations is probably Jacobs' best win, he was unimpressive against Smith and Pirog and I have many doubts about his ability to consistently beat top fighters in the division.

no way this fight happens but agree with the poster who said only GGG would a clearly be a favorite over Jacobs.
