My name is Pamela LaPorte- McKenzie and some years ago i submitted a photo of my great uncle sammy with some information. I have learned recently that i have submitted his birth name incorrectly. By birth his name was Salvatore LaPorte... not Salvadore. From what i was told by one of his nieces that grew up with him is that Salvadore is Spanish and Salvatore is the Iitalian name. I also have his birthday now. He was born on 6/5/1918.
