Any interest in the following Klitschko fights?
Any interest in the following Klitschko fights?
Wladimir vs teh following (minus wilder, fury, stiverne)
Takam (especially if he beats povetkin) - october 25th (althoughtakam only ranked in IBF)
Luis Ortiz (if he beats Kayode) - sept 11th (wba interim)
Tarver (if he beats Banks) sept 29 (ranked WBA)
Lucas Browne (ranked IBF and WBA)
Just curious (and yes i know he is likely to fight FURY, Stivene/Wilder/(Jennings)
Personally i think if Takam wins then he is a reasonable voluntary (as he would have beaten grant, thompson, perez and povetkin)
however a voluntary vs Fury Generates more interest maybe

Not at all for Ortiz and Tarver.
The rest would all be at least somewhat interesting. I'm a big Lucas Browne fan, I'd like to see him and Chagaev first. I think he could take that title and make a Klitschko fight more interesting.

It's hard not to be a fan of Lucas Browne the man, but he's very crude and wasn't in great shape for last fight.punchoutsb wrote:I'm a big Lucas Browne fan, I'd like to see him and Chagaev first. I think he could take that title and make a Klitschko fight more interesting.

Oh I agree. I just think Chagaev is shot to pieces. Lucas at his best could win that fight...but he'd need to be at his best.ttornado wrote:It's hard not to be a fan of Lucas Browne the man, but he's very crude and wasn't in great shape for last fight.punchoutsb wrote:I'm a big Lucas Browne fan, I'd like to see him and Chagaev first. But do you really want to see Klitschko vs Browne? If I'm going to watch someone lose, then at least lets have animosity in the build-up.punchoutsb wrote: Oh I agree. I just think Chagaev is shot to pieces. Lucas at his best could win that fight...but he'd need to be at his best.

He's big, he hits pretty hard, good work rate when he's in shape and pretty decent chin. That alone makes him more interesting than a lot of the future challengers.ttornado wrote:But do you really want to see Klitschko vs Browne? I'd rather see Browne and Wilder than Browne and Klitschko.

Of course, Browne would ask questions of Wilder that Klitschko has long since answered.punchoutsb wrote:

I really like Lucas and have been fortunate enough to spend a bit of time in his company, a nicer tough guy you are unlikely to meet. For the financial reward I'd like to see him land a big fight or two but dispassionately I don't think he's close to ready for Wlad yet. The others aren't ready either.
Re: Any interest in the following Klitschko fights?
Browne might make for an interesting fight.
I wouldn't mind seeing him in against the winner of Ortiz-Kayode
No interest in Tarver.

No interest or bare minimum interest in fights listed. I suppose Bermane becomes semi interesting if he beats Deontay. For me the fights most compelling are top contenders vs each other or Wlad vs Tyson or Deontay & honestly feel like those guys haven't earned the fight & probably more importantly arent ready for the fight & probably need a year between them & Wlad.
