Anyone else seen this sanctioned pit fighting?
No ropes
Less padding
Small pit etc
Here is Gabriel Rosado vs Brian Vera in Debut event in Las Vegas, great fight both known for toughness and durability.
You think it will generate interest in UK?

Yep crap ring and that less padding certainly did the trick for thw organises, Vera getting knocked out by Rosado of all people.
What would a puncher like Golovkin or Kirkland do with with that kind of padding. Dangerous..

Good fight and I like the concept in principle ... HOWEVER ... it can only work in tiered venues. Anyone who watches boxing or MMA at 'small hall' flat floor venues will know that there are many places in the building that provide a crappy view. Corner/angle posts can make the entire evening a sack of shit. This 'pit' would exacerbate this existing problem hugely, as it's actually a bowl that extends up to a height of over 6' from the venue floor, meaning you could see practically fornicate all in any flat venue in the country.

Yea good points but what a top match up Rosado vs Vera small ring neither rely on feet really makes for a very entertaining fight I didn't think that would be the result personally but the winner boxes great keeps showing huge improvements

I like it!!, the fights flow, very hard to be a journeyman in this which will equal more 50-50 fights with both parties selling their tickets, can't wait for the first show over here

..why are people calling this the debut event? It wasn't, heck the first BKB fight had Larry Hopkins in it and on YouTube!

You're not the first to say it, it's just confusing that the myth seems to be that it was the first and lots of folk have described it as being the debut.

BKB stood for bare knuckle boxing originally but since it got bigger they couldn't get sanctioned fights with no gloves so had to change the name to big knockout boxing

Seen the footage of this, Rosado knocked him into next week.

Sad this wasn't a proper sanctioned fight and instead was this BKB there trying to lift off there ground. Coming off the back of 2 defeats this would have been good on Rosado's record.

I watched it and i was ready to cringe but it was decent.

2 decent B class boxers who were obviously in good shape fighting hard for 2 minute rounds for 5 rounds. I heard that they were going to use MMA gloves but they used 10oz gloves as normal.

They got Kenny Bayless reffing which made things look official even though he seemed a little confused at what to do after the KDs.

The short rounds, short duration and decent fighters & competent ref made this one as a success at least.
