I take your point - historically I think its Fwank. However, its now 2014 and the landscape has changed. Its not unreasonable to wonder if Fwank is ever going to have another break out star, and pay the sort of money we're talking about. The limitations of his channel hold him back. As Eddie shows, when you've got Sky backing you, you can be a big player.

It will be very interesting to see if Fwank dips deep into his pocket to bring Quillan over for BJS. I don't think he will. I think the days of him ever paying upwards of £400-£500k to a defending champ to come over to Britain to fight one of his lads are over. For that sort of money, he can buy several overseas shows and that's his bread and butter now, as he owns and runs the TV channel.

Tete has a mandatory to sort out
Narvaez is unlikely to come over here and Butler is unlikely to go over to Argentina
Cuadras has Jaro then probably an easy one in Mexico OR a New Years Eve one in Japan
Kono, as long as the WBA show some common sense, could be free

There's no mandatory with the IBF and Butler's ranked 3, they appear to be targeting Kono, Narvaez seems to be a non starter, although he has travelled in the past and at 39 a decent payday may lure him over with the current economic situation in Argentina, Cuadras hasn't been mentioned and I don't think they'll be trying to bring him over, it's unlikely he'll travel and like you say he's fighting Jaro.

I don't know whether they'll get him a world title fight in October, but if not then, then they will in December or the new year.

McJoe Arroyo beat Hernan Marquez in an eliminator and was said to have been a mandatory for the winner of Tete/Kinoshita. Whether the IBF allow him that chance or make him play the game they are making Farenas go through is yet to be seen. Tete would likely take the money if offered an opportunity to take a voluntary.

Kono's situation in Japan is a mess right now. The WBA seem unwilling to budge from the Koki fight, the JBC have banned the Kameda Gym and they are going back and forth on whether or not they will allow Koki to join UNITED. If he doesn't the Japanese papers are reporting that it will go to purse bids and be staged out of Japan.

Waiting until next year seems a long wait. I know it's not but boxing fans have short memories.

The Marquez fight wasn't a final eliminator, the IBF rankings came out last week, #1 spot empty, Arroyo 2, Butler 3. Logic would dictate that Butler and Arroyo fight a final eliminator, but it's more likely that they'll just bring Tete over instead, the South African TV situation will probably see him fight whoever offers most on the road. Kono and Narvaez are the other options.
