1. Wilder WBC
4. Anthony Joshua vs Parker March 31
5. Joseph Parker vs Joshua

Antonio Tarver is on the list? Thats silly. I'd say Shannon Briggs is higher on a real "Wladimir Klitschko Sweepstakes" list. He's as bs a opponent, but they got all this hype with Wlad & Shannon with all these videos.

I would have left Tarver and Kayode off the list, baring a Kayode upset of Ortiz.

You say the list is for the next two years, so how about Anthony Joshua? I almost wrote Parker, guess I just did, but he's at least 3 years away or should be.

Rest is spot on IMO.

You think Anthony is 2yrs away from Wlad? I think thats a rose colored glasses outlook. I definitely don't think Anthony is in the top 12 for Wlad though which is what this list ultimately is supposed to represent.

Joshua may be in the top 12 in two years. 2-3 years away something like that. I'd rather see a green Joshua get a title shot at 25-26 being 18-0 or something than a 46 year old Tarver who however old he'd be.

lol well we can agree on that. I'm just saying its a bit premature to throw Anthony in the mix now. I'd rather see Andy Ruiz on the list than some of those third tier cats. I don't see Andy being too far below the other undefeated prospect/fringe contenders Deontay & Bryant who are in the top 6.

Pulev, Wilder, Fury, Jennings, Brown and Ortiz are most likely to happen, the rest I doubt.

Povetkin rematch is a possibility.

I would also add Mike Perez and David Price.

I'd be extremely surprised if Joshua gets himself into title contention before wlad retires, even more surprised if he gets an actual shot in the next 2 years.

it's just not going to happen and not something his team should be pushing him to do.

By the time Joshua gets to world level it will be wide open and because of his youth and late arrival on the scene, no-one in their right mind will accuse him of avoiding a Klitschko fight, so there's no need to race into it, just take his time keep winning fights and developing and opportunities will be there when he's ready

By the time he fought those four, he'd be about a year behind Louis and five more title defenses away from first. I don't see why he'd retire when he was that close...plus he'd have beaten his toughest current challengers then too.

Exactly for that reason.
He'd have absolutely nothing left to prove and anything close to a challenge would be gone.
He'd be looking to the next generation to spring up a surprise.
but at his age, he has proven everything he needs to, he is the undisputed no1, he beat the best there was in the division and beating Pulev would be further confirmation that he's faced and beat the best there is to offer

After that, I'd like to see him fight the winner of Stiverne vs Wilder to pick up that final title, to hold all four.
i'd to see the Wilder hype put to bed, whether that's Wlad or Stivern beating him, i don't care.
I think, for some, there are question marks over whether Wlad could deal with someone with Wilder punching power or someone with fury's sheer size.
I'd like to see him answer both of those questions and walk away, with all 4 belts, a hall of fame heavyweight ATG.

Then we can enjoy the free for all that ensues.

As for beating Joe Louis record, I'm not too fussed about that. Is Wlad???

thanks for the response guys.
AJ will not fight WK due to will be too early and will not happen. The list is for fights that "can" happen.
But as i mentioned, the list will change as people win or lose. We have a lot of fights in next 3 months. There is an outside chance of Povetkin/haye rematches but i've purposely left them out unless they beat top contenders and replace them.

The purpose of this thread is access options based on those three things (Record Rating and Revenue)

Pulev
Possible marking-time fight
Stiverne if he's still got the WBC (which the K brothers do want)
Wilder

.....that's the job done and dusted for Wlad, total and utter supremacy of the division and the most credible 'new generation' guys beaten.

Wlad might conceivably stay around a wee bit longer for Fury if he has won all of the above quickly or easily...and there might need to be a possible marking-time fight before getting the big WBC unification fight sorted. Lucas B or Jennings would fit the bill for us fans; but don't rule out a bit of a well-paid, low-risk 'freebie' in a German football stadium against someone like Charr or (god forbid) the disturbed and prehistoric Mr. Briggs.

Once he pummels Pulev, it will be the winner of Chisora/Fury, who will subsequently be knocked out, in brutal, brutal fashion... but it won't be boring in or out of the ring.

cold187 wrote:This thread is one I'm going to keep active until Wladimir retires. I'm expecting him to retire with no further losses but with few options.
It grades the fighters available who can fight him in the next 1.5-2 years. Fighters are ranked on 3 things. Ranking, Record and Revenue. I've purposely left out previous (klitschko) Victims
I don't expect him to fight all these as some will be eliminated .
1st Tier

1. Pulev - Next Fight Wladimir 6th September
2. Stiverne - Next Fight Wilder November
3. Wilder - Next fight Stiverne November
4. Fury - Next fight Chisora November

2nd Tier

1. Chisora - Fury November
2. Jennings
3. Glazkov
4. Takam - Next fight Povetkin October

3rd Tier

1. Lucas Browne
2. Ortiz - Next fight Kayode 11th Sept
3. Tarver - Next Fight Banks September 29th
4. Kayode - Next Fight Ortiz 11th September

New fighters can enter when current fighters are eliminated!

Feel Free to comment!
Wilder in tier one? Let him beat a top 15 opponent first. I predict Stiverene will take him out inside six rounds.

Wlad has said he wants the record. Mainly I think lack of competition is a poor reason to retire...I can see it from a fans point of view, but from Wlads it makes no sense.

This confuses me, because at this point I actually thought that the Wlad & Shannon thing was promoting a new "hilarious" reality TV show about the domestic disputes of mismatched lovers.

Seriously, it'd go over big with people who watch MTV.

Pulev out, jennings goes to 1st tier, as HBO and K2 are looking to make this next if all works out.
Ive left the 4th place on Tier 2 empty. Lets see how Tarver fairs, i think he is set up to beat banks, and who knows, get a voluntary on HBO if he wins.

One of chisora and fury will be out in 2 weeks

From a financial stand point.Fury is the better challenger then Chisora.People are more apt to watch
an undefeated challenger than one with multiple losses.
The build up of Wlad Fury would be fun with Fury's big mouth.HBO would have a hit on their hands.
