i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
don't know where and who, but i think he is too
confident. it takes one punch to change the usual
regime.
i would have thought wilder has what it takes, but
his business-sense seems bigger than his boxing-
pride.

Tend to agree. He is @ the age where he coulda retired yesterday so he could be done @ any moment but if he's around for another 24-36 months or longer I think he'll lose or he'll be fighting lesser fringe contenders more than the top guys still like he's been doing to keep bs abc belts if he doesn't take a L.
Re: i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
lets see what happens
Wilder is hoping to blow away Stiverne or he will realize what a big big step up in class it is from firtha/gavern/greer
I actually think CARLOS Takam will have a good chance vs Wladimir as he comes forward with a high work rate. however im looking forward to his fight vs povetkin, gonna be explosive i feel!!!!!!
and on a serious note, I really feel cuban Luis Ortiz is the type of guy that will cause Wladimir problemd with his style!!!

Re: i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
I believe Wladimir should only make like 2-3 more fights and then retire. vitali did decline a lot in the end even though it didn't Show much due to his opponents.
vitali at 38 was really at least a class better than vitali at 40. at that Age the decline can come quickly, many greats have missed that Point and then lost to some bums they easily would beaten some years before.

If Wlads waiting for a loss to retire we have him for at least 10 more years
Re: i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
Yeah, maybe not 10 years but still much longer than a lot of people here think.Othro wrote:If Wlads waiting for a loss to retire we have him for at least 10 more years

Age will defeat him like all other great champions.I will not be surprised when Wlad,Fmj and Pac all
lose.It is the nature of the game.It does not take away from their greatness, just shows
that we are all mortal.

But when the opposition is weak, the age will defeat a great champion later than earlier.tiny_acres wrote:Age will defeat him like all other great champions.I will not be surprised when Wlad,Fmj and Pac all

I agree, but Wlad is nearing 40 years old.It is very late in his career.Duch wrote:But when the opposition is weak, the age will defeat a great champion later than earlier.tiny_acres wrote:Age will defeat him like all other great champions.I will not be surprised when Wlad,Fmj and Pac all

His safety first style, great size, devotion to training and a lack of quality challengers could keep him around and unbeaten until about the age of 42 or 43 I think. Unless he runs into someone who gets lucky or his skills see a steep drop.

Only time will tell.I just hope that he retires before he losses.I just hate to see a great champ lose.drunkenpiper36 wrote:His safety first style, great size, devotion to training and a lack of quality challengers could keep him around and unbeaten until about the age of 42 or 43 I think. Re: i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
Klitschko will be champ until he's 57 by then Wilder will be 108-0 (108) and ready to take the step up and defeat Klitschko .
Re: i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
I don't think anyone's beating Klitchko. He's so much better than the punchers who have a genuine punchers chance, and he's sparred with pretty much all of them, so he already knows what to expect.

It'll either take a very tough, large, hard hitting man to do the job...
Or a fast, heavy handed, calm and collective man to do the job...
Only two come to mind, in my opinion... Fury and Stiverne

Stiverne will be Mormeck part II and Fury won't make it past 6HomicideHenry wrote:It'll either take a very tough, large, hard hitting man to do the job...

I cant see anyone else coming close to do it, save for Pulev--- who may be the only one I can see being able to win a decision against Klitschko.Othro wrote:Stiverne will be Mormeck part II and Fury won't make it past 6HomicideHenry wrote:It'll either take a very tough, large, hard hitting man to do the job...

If Wlad sticks to the jab/grab style that makes him almost impossible to beat (and almost impossible to watch for that matter), he'll retire without taking another L.

Wlad will be getting married soon. If he wants to retire, he'll have a good reason.ReggieDiggs wrote:Tend to agree. OR
He can stay active and pass Larry Holmes for title defenses.

He said that he will do it. And he wants to be a heavyweight champion for the longest time.pound per pound wrote:Wlad will be getting married soon. Wladamir won a portion of the title in April of 2006.If we go from there 11 years and 8 monthsDuch wrote:He said that he will do it. We are looking at January of 2018 before he ties Joe Louis.Wladamir will be just shy of 42 yrs old.
The question to me is when did Wlad gain acceptance as the REAL world champion????
Re: i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
IMO, Wlad will probably do similarly to Vitali and retire when he's noticing that he's struggling too much, too often. Like if he were to fight someone like Mike Perez or Lucas Browne, and he won a hotly contested fight by a margin of 8-4, then that would probably be his last fight. I suspected that that will occur in about 4 years after about 6-7 fights. Both of the Klitschkos seem to make responsible, intelligent decisions in general. I wouldn't expect Wlad to be like Holyfield and keep fighting for peanuts when he's 50 to pay for his 15ish children from a dozen baby mommas.

Re: i believe wlad will not retire without another loss.
Nobody in the Heavyweight division right now will beat Wladimir Klitschko for atleast another 5 years, and Wlad is smart enough to know when to retire so HE WILL NOT LOOSE EVER AGAIN.
at this moment the only person in my opinion that is close to beating Wladimir is Deontay Wilder but even him is a guess because we don't know how he performs with real challengers, that's why Wilder vs Stivern is a perfect fight to test Wilder, because Stivern can take a punch, he won't fall from just one hit in the 1st round, Stivern will take Wilder in to later rounds and there we will see what Wilder is trully made of.

Of course not. But it doesn't mean that he will retire soon or with no future loss.Lackeos wrote:IMO, Wlad will probably do similarly to Vitali and retire when he's noticing that he's struggling too much, too often. He's a sensible enough person, highly educated and knows when to steer clear of danger. I think he'll hang up the gloves at the right time. And even if he does pick up a loss, he won't be one of these guys who sticks around and milks the sport like Evander Holyfield did for a decade past his prime incuring numerous defeats.
