Come on Dempsey, tell us what you think. Go ahead, move the goal post.

Reality to Earthlings: This Is Not A Title Shot !!

Is a Chauncy Welliver fight a title shot? Was Bugner-Boncrusher Smith (WBF) a title shot?

Diss Wilder all you want. Say Scott took a dive. It's impossible to disprove he didn't. Once again: This is NOT a title shot! Wlad is the champion. It's an interesting fight though, that's all it is.

uuuhhhmmm... yeah, it kinda is...

Stiverne IS the WBC Champion. Wlad isn't. Wlad would like/wants that belt; but, doesn't have it. Aaand... Stiverne appears to be in no hurry to face Wilder to defend this "paper" belt... for an "alphabet belt" that has no value, Bermane and Don sure are acting like they don't want to relinquish it anytime soon, even to the extent that they haven't set up the fight with the #1 Pretender... Wilder... C'mon Don... Deontay is a cupcake walkoveur fite, 'ite... holding my breasts until September 12th... whom shall snatch the purse...?

oh... and Fat Dan, just cos Deontay looks like one of the guys that took your lunch money in the 6th grade is no reason to hate mate, besides, appears that you recovered more than adequately... :DDD

ps. Wlad is only the "champion" cos his brother quit... really? that's your title holder? puhhhlease...

You know the Heavyweight Champion is Wlad. I know the Heavyweight Champion is Wlad. Wlad only wants the WBC belt because fans recognize it as a belt. If fans only concerned themselves with the real title, Wlad wouldn't even want this belt.

The old sick and senile Convict King is wealthy and is way too out of it to make fights. He doesn't care that Stiverne isn't getting paid to sit on his ass. Stiverne is too dumb to notice the difference with his 13 twitter followers telling him he's great. Sorry for the rant...just sayn'.... :witzend:

My reaction would be that anyone who triumphs Wilder after KO'ing Stiverne is intelligent and makes their decisions based on evidence, whereas anyone who triumphed him before his win over Stiverne is a fool who will likely go on to hype a lot of frauds in the future and has likely climbed aboard many ill-fated hype trains in the past as well.

In case you're incapable of reading a ledger for yourself, I'll point-out that Stiverne has only been fighting once per year for a while; and this is almost entirely because his promoter is 80+ years old, virtually retired, and only promotes about once a year. Considering that Stiverne last fought three months ago, it should be quite clear that his next fight will probably be about nine months from now, and so likely his next contract will not be signed for another six to seven months. There are all things that a person with boxing knowledge and common sense should be able to arrive at on their own, so no one who has both of those things should ever arrive at the ridiculous conclusions that you have. Stiverne isn't somehow racking-up interest on his title while not fighting. There is no money to be gained by sitting on your title and not fighting anyone. He's not stalling on fighting Wilder just so he can get some sort of illusory benefit that you've concocted. It's the mere fact that Stiverne's promoter is 83 years old, has $290 million, and has no reason to get off his ass and do his job when he doesn't feel like it.

A few different sources seem pretty sure the fight will happen in November. (Wilder claims it will be 100%)We will have to wait and see.

A few things the writer points out in the link below Deonte could be working on in the meantime is his jab, left hook, uppercut, and how to properly tie a guy up if he does get in close. I would have to agree. Just imagine if he could develop a Larry Holmes whip like jab. His trainer Mark Breland had a very good jab himself.

Youre both right basically. Bermane is a abc title holder & Deontay will supposedly be fighting him so therefore it is a title shot. Wlad is a abc title holder too he's just considered "The Champion". Wlad holds no real belt that says he's the real champ its just a mythical title bestowed upon him by entities that have no real power in professional boxing.
