Povetkin by a wide wide decision.Biggs accomplished very little as a pro.
Re: Alex Povetkin v. Tyrell Biggs
For me Povetkin would beat Biggs by late stoppage or wide decision.
Biggs skilled boxer but he not have a spirit.

Re: Alex Povetkin v. Tyrell Biggs
Povetkin has been something of a disappointment and there's a credible case for saying that Biggs was operating in a far deeper and more competitive heavyweight division.....but Biggs did implode in important fights and I vaguely remember Gary Mason doing a more than credible job of knocking the stuffing out of him. I am pretty sure Povetkin could do the same.
Admittedly, Tyson had got to Biggs before Big Gary did which back then could mean someone was never really the same.....but I'll stick with the Russian via a second half stoppage.

Disappointed that people seem to be matching the drug ravaged shot Biggs v povetkin rather than the best pro version of Biggs.and the mason fight was dead even before one shot ended it.Biggs had huge heart.it's so difficult to consider Biggs as a pro boxer as after his Olympic gold he deteriorated.
But let's go with the Biggs that stepped in with tyson.over 12 I think Biggs would win on points.he could outbox one of these eastern bloc maulers all day.

Re: Alex Povetkin v. Tyrell Biggs
This is a highly competitive matchup. Biggs had a short-lived peak (he hit the drugs after the Tyson defeat) but was fairly well-schooled and showed heart on many occasions. H'ed have the edge in boxing skills, size, and power. I'd give Povetkin the edge in the chin department as well as stamina though. Forced to pick give me Povetkin to outwork him over the distance in a close fight, but he'd be lumped up bad at the end.

I'm trying to figure out when Briggs even had a prime.I have been trying to remember
when he actually looked good against anyone who was not a shot fighter.

Biggs beat the huge punching Sims while fighting most of the the fight with a broken collarbone, Snipes and Tillis early in his career. While not exactly an Ali level resume, i'ts decent and comparable to Povetkins. This would be a very good style matchup that either guy could win, but I think Biggs bigger heart would have carried him through to a decision as he hung on late in the fight after carrying virtually all of the early rounds.

Biggs would have outboxed Povetkin easily. How many rounds could Povetkin survive against
Tyson?
Tyson?

I think this is a solid matchup that can go either way

Re: Alex Povetkin v. Tyrell Biggs
Povetkin was better but also had the opportunity to improve and didn't ruin his career with bad life style choices. If we took these guys when they were both around 15-0 ( bigg's prime ) I'd go with Tyrell. He had shown incredible heart coming back from a broken collar bone to beat a dangerous puncher in Jeff Sims. He battled it out to take a decision over a game Renaldo Snipes. He was still working with the Duva's in his corner and had a pretty solid team and hadn't destroyed his potential with drugs yet. When Povetkin was 15-0 he had already beaten a young Eddie Chambers and aged versions of Byrd and Donald plus had an equally if not more successful amateur career than Biggs, so I think the match up would be fair.
