If I have to choose between being able to read or having 100M. I'd probably take the 100M.

can you think of an instance in the history of the universe where someone had to choose
between being able to read and $100mil? he could be dyslexic but otherwise literate.
i would think his dad and uncles probably learned the hard way how to avoid getting
screwed by promotional contracts and worked on that stuff with him when he was ready
to go pro.

yeah...like I said...its one thing making fun of somebody on a forum, like i do. but to do it in the media is just classless.

50 should bother more about himself than about others, when did the dude have a good quality album out? 7 years ago or what :geek:

f....... 50, butthurt all day.....just leave floyd alone. its not nice to talk bad about someones disabilitys in public.

I mean the dude bought like 100 cars in the past several years, each car easily 200k and more, he bets weekendly millions, has an 20 head army of entourage, you do the math what that costs. I mean I am not hating on his lifestyle, I also would like to have 4 bitches always around me, but the level of wasting money he does, I mean if he had invar kamprad kind of money, than why not, but floyds 100 million or what he got on the bank will be gone fast if he keeps that lifestyle level in the next 10 years.
It's spelled DEFENSE, not deFENCE but you call Floyd dumb. He can't read and you can't spell worth a sh*t, lol.

The nerve of a nitwit like you to talk about someone's handicap when yours is worse, there aren't many people you're going to have to read to that often but you are sure to have to sign/write things to most people, it looks as though Mayweather is better off than you regarding the two.

Welcome to America. Many people in this country have like a 5th grade reading level.

But he has money, so I guess that balances out not being able to read books ... I mean 99% of the shit in print is bullshit anyway, not really necessary to happiness. Nowadays, almost all information is in some easy to access video form.

Math ... Now that's the key skill ... it's always been math!

fornicate books ...

I haven't seen this clip yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if Floyd can't read well he's been groomed to be who he is today since he was in the crib. School was likely far down on his to do list & cuz he was an exceptional boxers teachers probably gave him a pass.

I went to school with a kid who was one of the top basketball players in the country & if you'd have asked him what 2 x 2 was he probably have said Q. He would just chill in the gym shooting or roamed the halls during hs & somehow he graduated. I suspect many top athletes had similar situations.
Is it not extremely weird that a 40ish old grown man is making diss videos like every other day. This is so 14 yr old girlish lol

No. But a lack of education doesn't mean you're thick either.

dont you learn math by books....and dont you have to read, to answer arithmetic problems?

the thing is just this, for me, it is very very simple.

when you did very poor in school and leanred 0,0 and you have problems reading, but you do good in something else, like floyd in sports and become rich, than you obviously made it financielly, I aggree with that.

but isnt there something more, than making it financielly? like educating yourself, becoming a man of vast reading, simply enlarge your horizont?

I mean there are so many things like geograhphy, foreign cultures and more that I more interresting than buying a new bentley every single week or making it rain in clubs.

I mean if I am 22-28, a boxing millionere, sure I wanna live it up and have girls, luxury cars and live a in a big mansion, but at a certain point where do I go from there? its cool to stunt with a new rolls royce when you 23 and first got one, but than 10 years later, I am a adult grown man, who has seen it all in terms of luxury items, I wouldnt have the same feeling to showcase how rich I am, I lived it the past 10 years, its normal to ride in a benz and fly in private jets, it becomes normal-broing. do you ever see bill gates flexing with a buigatti? no, because he had those kind of cars since ~20 years, its boring, its normal to him...

and what is than left to do? okay, f..... bitches, you can always d that, but appart from that? and thats simply encrease my horizon and learn more about life in general.

and what is floyd aka Mr Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder doin.....dumba/(s doesnt seem bored of luxury cars and stunts with them as if he is 25, for me, it means, he doesnt have much hobbys beside that, he realy is a lowbrow..

If it was me, before I criticized someone else in regards to being illiterate or not, I would at least make sure when I do the criticizing I would be able to spell simple words, punctuate properly, capitalize letters when appropriate, and use at least something remotely close to proper grammar. I am far from perfect in those categories, but at least am not too lazy to correct myself or look things up if I need to.

Just remember that being great at reading, writing, and speaking isn't necessarily an accurate measure of a person's ability to be successful or to become rich. Our last president was a great example of that.

Sometimes when we criticize constantly it is more of a reflection of ourselves rather than who or what we are constantly criticizing.

what a dumb statemant.

all the nonsense you write

what did I write? "floyd mayweather can't read", I never went into you had to be a super intellgent well spoken guy to become rich, because its a not true and b it is not the subject of this thread.

and now you write down stupid stuff, like "Just remember that being great at reading, writing, and speaking isn't necessarily an accurate measure of a person's ability to be successful or to become rich. Our last president was a great example of that."

this thread isnt about becoming succesfull or becomeing rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i never wrote that down, because being intelligent and be rich are 2 sepperated things.
and be rich or succesfull, yet be a moron/unlearned like flyod and many others, is absurd to me = backwoodsman. and I dont wanna be a backwoodsman.

I know its cool and hip to be totally dumb/stupid & rich nowadays...paris hilton, kardashian, floyd, kanye....etc...but for me I only feel shame, preposterous dislike of these morons, who are so uneducated and stupid, but yet think they so cool and some even jesus like, like kanye  its not even funny....guy really thinks he is the most talented guy in the world, when all is cool about his song bound II is the refrain of charlie wilson hahahahahaha......

I agree, whether it's true or not this personal attack on Floyd is distasteful, even more so that it was done in what is supposed to be a PR stunt for charity.

Illiteracy doesn't necessarily mean that someone is dumb; in many cases a person develops in genius coping strategies to mask or hide their inability to read. It's not a laughing matter and it shows a lack of class and understanding to mock or sneer at people with such a disadvantage.

1 in 7 Americans have reading difficulties.

Floyd may be dyslexic and if he is, he should come out and be a spokesperson on some level.

50 made a career out of nearly being killed, he is a low life scumbag snitch.

Floyd made a career out of blood sweat and tears.

50 is a dumb bastard who happens to be rich. Keep your fat ass out of boxing, you toss piece.

Wonder why our kids are so dumb!?

Dumb adults = dumb children that become adults
(And the cycle continues)

Luckily, Mayweather acquired a job you don't need to much reading or any other mentally challenging activity.

But! I do believe being that he is AFRICAN AMERICAN, he's looked upon more negatively for his obnoxious ways...

HE'S BLACK, RICH, AND OBNOXIOUS AND YOU GUYS HATEEEEEE IT! :witzend:

.....being that he's not a good reader is the ONE thing u can hold against him.. and he most likely doesn't care at all.
Cheap shot. Why bring the race card into this you moron.
Getting back to the OP, Floyd can pay a tutor and learn to read but there's nobody we can hire to make us multi millionaires.
If anything he should be praised for making a success of his life with such a limited intellectual start. :TU:

No, that's a common misconception created by the way WE learn in schools.

Someone can do very well in science and math without being the greatest reader in the world ... but when people teach out of textbooks, then people have to be readers.

You enjoy all that reading stuff, others may not. It's whatever really. There are towns in which like 90% of the female population have had to do some form of prostitution to survive. All of the guys who make the world that way can read quite well.
