Great KO

As for the main event, Trout's punch resistance seemed terrible. He hasn't looked the same since facing Canelo and I think he's in danger of becoming a stepping stone.

Trout is very skilled and rangy. With a high work rate.

He needs to stay behind the jab and not get into fire fights. He can sill beat a whole lot of guys in the division.

Crazy I used to spar with the guy and he was known around the gym and in the am's for his chin. Maybe too many gym wars caught up to him

That knockout was brutal. The guy was kissing the canvas.

Absolutely. Trout looked like a top-level guy for all but maybe two rounds but that chin is going to let him down big time in more worthwhile fights. He should focus on someone like Molina.

3 fights in a row Trout has been down but he always gets up. His chin may not be grade A but it's not awful. Teddy was talking about Dawson not jumping him like he was prime for the taking but I didn't see him close to being there for the taking. His legs looked alright to me both times right away. I don't see him at all as a stepping stone unless it is at the most elite level as the stone just before a title shot. I could see Trout gaining another strap with the right match up. He's still a top of the division guy.

As for Dawson....I had to watch the fight because of him as I remember him being called a Kangaroo F'r on here by Stacy Goodson after he pulled out of an ESPN fight with Delray Raines. Joe Greene stepped in and that was about 5 years ago. Dawson looked pretty terrible to me tonight. Even in the 3rd round he only landed about 5 punches. Trout started to destroy him at the end of the fight and in general he was way out of his depth. He may have won kick boxing and muay thai titles but a boxing world title is not in the cards for him. He gave a good effort but he is just not skilled enough to compete at the top of the game.

Overall it was a good main event fight. A little drama, Trout showing some top level skills, and at the end Trout kept going for the KO instead of running when it was in the bag.

I meant something like that or being brought in for champions as a resume booster. Sure, he won the other rounds, but I don't think that a top fighter should be hitting the canvas multiple times against someone like Dawson and I think that he may be on the slide.

Time will tell though and fighters have bounced back from slumps.

Good card to finish off the season on FNF,2 cracking 10 rounders and a 1 punch KO,lovely stuff

Cant believe 42% of people had Trout winning the 3rd despite being decked twice and the majority had Dawson winning the 4th without him barely throwing a punch

I'll have to check that again. I thought 100% had Dawson winning the 3rd. I know the majority gave him the 4th as well, which was ridiculous.
