WTF? Harrison v Guzman....?

I reckon it could be genuine, there were some rather scathing words from Peter Harrison and Scott too with regard to Maloney and Warren's calls for him to move up in weight.

The last I heard, Harrison said he would move up when he was good and ready, I don't recall him saying he had any plans to move up at all.

I think Super Feather is too much though as it's only another 4 pounds. At least Lightweight or Light Welter weight would be the best move up.

At lightweight Harrison would be facing some much heavier punchers though, the likes of Castillo and Corralles for instance, who hit much harder than anyone Harrison has ever faced. Harrison was almost out on his feet against Polo, and Polo isn't a banger.

Of course, part of the reason he may have been out on his feet is that he killed himself to make weight, hard to say really.

Look at how easily Morales was handed at lightweight, for all his brilliance at the lower weights.

Scott would be big at lightweight though and wouldn't look so drained. At Super feather it's only a 4 pound difference so he'd be still drained at that weight.

Harrison will have his arse handed to him against proven commodities like Corrales and Castillo. It would be a mismatch.

I think Guzman is going to win, but the only reason I am not categorically stating its a mismatch is because Guzman isn't a proven commodity.

Without weight and strength advantage Harrison would be like a sitting duck against Castillo and I think Corralles, though a bit chinny would bang too hard and too often for Harrison to hang with him.

Looking at Guzman's record, he looks a class act, but at featherweight he isn't proven yet, and I do wonder how strong he is. He can obviously box and has a history as a puncher, though not as much recently..

Fighters often say its those last 2 or 3 pounds that are the hard ones to shift.

Super Feather may just be the aswer - as someone else said Lightweight contains some serious power punchers.

Precisely, 4 lbs is a lot when you have to absolutely kill yourself to shift them. If you weigh around 126 then 4 lbs is nearly 5% of your bodyweight.

I was wondering if this fight had just faded away, but boxrec have is listed as 25th March, Glasgow. Anyone confirm it's a goer?

Someone said this was just about the best fight you could make at feather, and I think they're right.
