Didn't see it as I had to go to a function ...

What are people perceptions on Greenburg ... I know a lot of people don't think much of him ... why??

i think the kid gwets some bad press cos he can sometimes be a bit lazy, but he has good handspeed excellent footwork is progessing nicely and is only 23 i think, which is pretty young for a heavy to be at his stage.


lets see how he develops over the next couple of years for me the jury is out.

good prospect but can he handle it when he does take a big step up.

guess we will find out.

just think folk should give the guy a bit of a chance ok he has had 20 odd fights but he is only 23, as we know heavies generally dont mature til much later.

oman at present isnt the biggest of heavies and his power has been questioned, but most fighters go on to develop a bit more power as they enter their late 20's early 30s which Roman is a long way off from in age terms.

the guy has skills if he develops a little bit more of a work ethic and bit more power I reckon he could do really well.

like I say give the chap time to develop, id back him to beat the likes of mcdermott or krence at present and at 23 thats a nicely poised place to be.

It worries me when a fighter is held back for such an extended period of time. Makes me think his handlers know something that we don't (Yet.)

If you are good enough, you are old enough. Rooney, Owen and from boxing Benitez, Tyson, Patterson etc has shown that to be true.

His lazy style works great against low calibre opposition, but he could well be developing poor habits which could be his undoing at a higher level.

I am largely sceptical of him, after all he is a white Jewish heavyweight - lets big frank, if he could fight a lick he would be worth MILLIONS in the States - whats he doing hanging around Finchley, if thats the case?...

as i said perhaps if we took a year form knocking the bloke we might find out the answers to these questions.


Also while I do agree if you are good enough you are old enough but that doesnt apply to everyone otherwise Ian wright woudl have never made it as a footballer would he, never broke any recrods for arsenal never won any medals nor played for england cos he was told old for the level he was at whe he first took up football.
I know what you mean tho, bout bad habits and stuff, but I think Roman is pretty close to going a few levels over the next year and if we have waited this long patiently then lets do anther yea to 18 months and find out whether we have a decent prospect or not

yeah this lad as good hand speed but can be abit lazy,he is not big enough to trouble the big guns but could beat danny williams and matt skelton.also he lacks power so i dont think he will become a true contender,should reach domestic and eourpean level.
