My mate Tuss grew up in Donny, he hasn't been back there for years now, and said he knows he is turning into a soft southern poof, because he feels intimidated by the idea of going there now....game set and match to London.

Never ceased to amaze me how many people there are down south who think Londoners are wankers, but all bloody live here...

Only joshing before someone starts getting irate...most of my mates (sadly) are from the likes of York, Skipton, Manchester, Doncaster...

If we're talking rough towns try Rhyl on the coast in North Wales. In the summer its littered with northerners on their holidays coupled with the local mad sheepshaggers it can be quite a hoot at chucking out time.

I think only the Cornish, Scousers and Toon Army have an equivalent pride in their roots.

And if only Boycott was still playing hey? Do you think he'd have got out for FA on Pakistani feather bed wickets.

i dont crave renivented roots my friend otherwise id just say I was from London, strange to me to think you love yorkshire so much yet you are as far away from it as we are .

and as I say i dont have any affiliation for the place (scabtown)other than i spent the first nine months of my life there.

On the plus side tho York is a great city I love it and I do think yorkshire has a charm in a royston vasey type of way.

Although I am proud of being Welsh, North Wales is a fuckin shithole and I cant believe people live there. I've only been back once in the last 3 years its a shit tip. Almost as bad as Yorkshire! ;) :P

No Yorkshireman would dare not to undertake the missionary work bestowed upon them no matter how dull and derelict the location. Suffolk is a quiet peaceful place where nothing much happens.

But there remains much to do, one day the Republic may recall me but for now I'll continue with my duties.

I'm from County Durham myself and it certainly didn't burn deep that my home town Darlington is very close to Yorkshire but not in it.

I fornicating hate Darlington now but every time I go to London it confirms for me that I could never live there. It's absolutely manic - just too quick for me.

I love Yorkshire, Sheffield in particular where I now live and it would take something big to drag me away from here. Then again, the missus is getting bigger all the time

As for Doncaster...I went to the races there once. Never again. I never knew it was possible to fit so many raggers in one place. One lad, who looked about 15, got his cock out and had a piss in the middle of the bookies and no one batted an eyelid.
