Wahaaaat ? - first of all Cleverley had to be persuaded to take the first fight to Liverpool, and then didn't have the decency to give Bellew an immediate rematch (again in Liverpool).

Now all of a sudden it looks as though Cleverley is getting in Eddie's ear about moving the fight in a deliberate attempt to force Bellew to pull out.

It is like Cleverley doesn't want the fight - no wonder Boomer is fuming ! :bag:

If this fight didn't happen it's not a real concern to me.

I think Clev will win more clearly this time of it happens. He is also a big guy and the extra weight suits him too.
Ultimately I think he has a stronger skill set, I don't think either are world class though.

This fight has nowhere near the draw to me that the first did, but I think Cleverly looks slightly better at the weight and will win better than the first time... Not sure I'd go miles out of my way to watch it anymore though.

I actually tend to disagree and think Bellew would knock cleverly out at cruiserweight. He does seem to have more of a dig at the new weight. Saying that I'd prefer cleverly to win as I find him more likeable.

Bellew couldn't budge Cleverly the first time even with flush powershots and I don't see him knocking him out at CW. I think this apparent new dig is largely a product of dropping his opposition level and I suspect that Clev's chin would hold up at CW.

He's still looked more impressive at the new weigh than cleverly has to me. I think cleverly's opposition at cruiserweight has actually been weaker than Bellews aswell which is saying something

It doesn't say much to me and certainly not as much as their actual fight where Clev wasn't bothered by what seemed like Bellew's best shots.

Bellew's CW opposition has been better, but he was hurt by and struggled at times with Brudov and in my view looked poor until the stoppage in his last fight, so I don't think it's like he's beaten significantly better opposition just as easily as Cleverly beat his last two opponents. Cleverly was also coming off a more one-sided loss so I think it made sense that his opposition wouldn't be as tough.

I don't think they have anything available to put it on in Liverpool, so unless Tony fancies making a complete arse of himself(wouldn't be the first time), he's going to have to fight him elsewhere.
PPV? How could they get a PPV out of any of that?

Brook, DeGale, Mitchell and Cleverly-Bellew on the same bill. If the opponents are decent then I could understand it, but they probably won't be. They'll do it anyway though because if you constantly advertise something to the casuals for a couple of months they become convinced it's big and worth the money, right now Eddie and Sky have them hooked and they'll milk it for all it's worth.

Thinking about it, I don't see why Bellew would fight Cleverly and risk his current 'push' under Matchroom because obviously a defeat to Clev leaves him playing second fiddle.

Bellew is the more likely to get a shot at a World title right now than Nathan. Get that World title and then it's a bigger fight and a chance for both to have held the cruiserweight title. Massive ask though. Bellew v Huck anybody?

There's been a lot of talk regarding Bellew Vs. Huck. Makes him look a bit silly with all this Clev rematch talk but can't blame him if he goes for it.

Do we give Bellew any chance against Huck? We've seen Tony put over a few times and Huck can certainly launch those attacks. How does Huck's power compare to Stevenson's?

I'd think the bookies would make Huck a 1-5 Fav to be honest, although Bellew does look a lot better at CW than Nathan and always has that power punch. Love to see him trading with Huck and just to add, Huck didn't look great last night in his title defence. A lot better fight than Bellew v Clev IMO.

Huck would smash Bellew imo. Would go much the same way as the Stephenson fight - Bellew would talk the talk in the build-up, then spend the whole fight running away until he got caught & stopped.

Just read the article that Johnny Nelson says he could beat Huck and some people are taking it serious as a possible fight! I bet even Johnny is laughing.

After reading a few bits on Huck, he looks intent on going to HW to cash out against Klitshcko, in what would be a massive TV fight in Germany. Much more likely is that Huck defends one more time(to beat his and Nelson's 13 defence record) and then moves up. Haven't looked at the rankings, but if Eddie could make Clev v Bellew next year for Huck's vacant WBO title, then that would be a master-stroke especially with a PPV date looming.
