I am pretty sure that Ward would go to England now, but Froch doesn't want to fight him or GGG. He didn't even mention Ward in his facebook poll and ignored GGG winning that poll. Chavez is not availble, so Froch will fight DeGeale.

Why bash today's fighters.Larry Holmes and Tommy Hearns neither defended their belts over seas.
Ray Leonard only defended once in Canada.This has been going on for years.
The champ does not need to travel to the opponents backyard.They earned that right.

Yet some people make threads saying European boxers who fight in their home countries are $HIT for doing it.

I defend any champions right to choose the fight location.They are the champ if you want the title
then come take it.But you can not dictate to the champ what the terms are going to be.
Now on another side of this.If a champ who has little drawing power such as Soliman were to fight
a Canelo.I as champ would give into some demands because the money out weighs the risk.
I know that sounds a little strange but money talks and this is a business first.

Nothing at all strange about that, it makes perfect sense.
The guy that generates the money is the guy in control at the bargaining table.
If you think the belt makes you the boss, don't be surprised when the A side fighter picks up the pile of money and offers it to someone else.

But the most famous boxers of all time at the peak of their popularity fought outside their home countries.

Muhammed Ali is an obvious example.
