Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
I expect him to lose soon and don't anticipate him remaining committed to the sport after that. He doesn't strike me as the type to bounce back, Partridge style, if/when his 'no man can beat me' mantra becomes a hollow boast.
Just a hunch. Feel free to decry. Or ignore.

Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
It'll be well into 2015 before he's in the ring with anyone who could beat him. I'd rate the chances of Fury/Chisora 2 falling apart again at 50/50, but if it happens Fury wins. Its a good job he's so young because the lack of progress is almost criminal. He deserves a break.
By the way, has anyone seen or heard any interviews with him since the Ustinov fight fell through ? Am I right in thinking there's been no press conferences or actual appearances for Fury/Chisora 2 thus far ?

Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
By late 2015 he may have only had one or two more fights at this rate.
Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
What they going to do with him ,, Its Ok to say he needs the fights ,, He will not get Klitcko , If they pick anyone sub standard , i'll say ,, because i don't like the word Bum , its disrespectful , anyway if they pick a lower level fighter , then they have a problem , in that it just will not sell tickets ,, Promoters are not there just to line furys pockets there has to be a return , and with Fury its a bit of a crossroads ,
So who does it leave that would sell , Maybee Chisora , , Price maybe but It does'nt seem like Fury wants to risk it , Ustinov , Regardless wether or not you think Fury had legit reasons for not fighting him , you cannot deny the fact that Fury seemed bothered by the fact he was in shape , Based on that given 3 months to prepare for Tyson , and Fury will have kittens , so that one i suspect will be out . .
Seems to me Tyson really does have to fight one of these guys or his carreer is stuffed , and my pick would be Chisora , , Frank said he was contracted to the fight , Tyson has beat him before , and Chisora , is a more focused fighter now than before , Its getting to make or break day for Fury , he has spent a long time talking the talk , now he is going to have to walk the walk .
And after , his attitude when he seen a in shape Ustinov , i somehow don't think he has the confidence he trys to show , and whats more i think his uncle knows it.

Fury's final fight will proberly be against someone like Joshua, a big title clash of a vacated title be it British Euro or World. If world maybe a silver title?
Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
It depends how much money he has but I wouldn't rule out a period of retirement followed by a comeback when he will still only be in his thirties! As everyone says he needs fights though and in that sense he needs to get in with Chisora. Presumably what the fury's are hoping is that he gets aworld belt and then does a Klitschko defending it as many times as possible against beatable fighters.
Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
I think he's wasting his time with Chisora and has also been set back by the Haye postponed and then cancellation.
It's easy to sit and be critical, but it must be devastating to train and train and then things go wrong and collapse for whatever reason.
I think if he can still drag himself up and be motivated after the above set-backs, then as long as he's not totally destroyed then I could see him continuing.
Let's be honest, it's not like it's a deep division, and failures get title shots every year - they lose, and sometimes become mandatory yet again.

Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
I think defeat will be tough for him to take. Some fighters lose and are never the same again.
Could see something similar happening with Tyson if/when he loses, especially if he is knocked out.

Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
For me, he's hit the canvas too easy to not suffer a KO defeat against one of the bangers in the division.
A loss on the cards is a lot easier to comeback from than a KO but Fury is still so young for a HW at 26(Joshua is only 24 to compare) that even after a defeat, he still has a lot of time to make up for it. Plus, he hasn't even lost yet!

Will Anthony Joshua take part in a (WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO) world title fight before Tyson?

Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
I could see him taking defeat in his stride tbh. He doesn't seem to take titles, achievements or reputation particularly seriously. He just wants to get paid.
It's a bit of a pointless debate till he actually loses tho.

Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
I bumped into Tyson recently. He was in great spirits and looked very lean. I almost didnt recognise him at first as he has shaved his head and was slouching.
He said he is still focused on the November date and although the last year 'has been shit' he seemed in quite a relaxed mood. Re-enacted the Belshaw body shots when discussing early fights and had a little chat about north-east boxing with my mate.
After reading a few articles and twitter bits and pieces, I was a little reluctant to introduce myself but he was a great fella who LOVES boxing. I think he will be around for a while yet.

Only if Fury loses before getting a title fight - he's too highly ranked otherwise.Sklar wrote:Will Anthony Joshua take part in a (WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO) world title fight before Tyson?
If he did lose though, before contesting a world title, I can see Joshua beating him to it. Fury's gone nowhere fast for a long time now, basically the best part of 2013/14 has been a total waste of time, the frustrating thing is he could have earned millions in that period of time. On the other hand, had Haye not withdrawn, Fury could be currently in the midst of a David Price style rebuilding comeback so maybe it has been for the best.
Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
It's funny cos in the past he used to bang on about how money comes and goes and it's accomplishments that matter. Now it's the other way round hahastevieb_8006 wrote:I could see him taking defeat in his stride tbh. He doesn't seem to take titles, achievements or reputation particularly seriously. Re: Will Tyson F have 5 more fights?
I can't tell you how much I disliked Fury until I actually got to talk to him.
He's a strange guy. Mentioning no names but some boxers come across all respectful and holier than thou on telly and in interviews but are absolute bellends in real life.
Fury turned out to be the opposite. Only met him twice but both times he was no bother at all. He was a really calm, humble lad. He was pestered throughout the day with requests for photos etc by good fans and some real idiots but he obliged every single one and was polite and respectful.
Then as soon as the TV came to interview him he became the egotistical knobber I was expecting!
It clearly seems to be a premeditated act which surprises me because I was utterly convinced he was a tool.
Strange one, most people are the other way round.

Wladimir isn't getting any younger. The rest of the heavyweights are a very beatable lot. I'd give Tyson Fury a good chance of beating all of them; Wilder, Stiverne, Pulev...
They all have holes in their games and Tyson is still improving. Hardest thing for him is to actually get someone to fight him!
