The original fight was very interesting for both boxers - the latest is a complete waste of time.

Larry O has absolutely nothing left to offer. He was beyond terrible against Dave Allen recently. Poor balance, zero cardio and no punch resistance.
The best part of the fight was Allen's ringwalk music, he changed it to the Verve's "Drugs don't work"..

Lewisons career must be in doubt following this latest fiasco are his knee injuries owing to being too heavy and doing too little leg work in training? larry O is nowhere near lewisons class and Cornish should stop him inside five if the win is to advance his reputation.

I must admit that although it can't be helped with Lewison getting injured, Larry O isn't going to tell us anything more about Gary, all we will get after he KO's Larry is that he beat an ex drug cheat that wasn't very good when he was juicing!! I'm sure that Gary will be the one that is gutted the most because afterwards he will still have to hear the same criticism until at least his next bout!

Also the longer it takes the more likely his British title shot could end up being against Anthony Joshua!! I would really like him to get a really big test before then because Anthony seems to have massive power and I'm sure Gary and his team would like to know for defo that his chin is sound before that (maybe it has been tested properly in sparring).

Anyway all the best for Gary on Saturday and i hope that there are no further call offs before then!!

Juice or not - if Larry hits Cornish (who hasn't looked like the most elusive fighter when I've seen him) he could take him out. I think a lot depends on how much ambition he has left. After 4 losses on the bounce, where he's been down or stopped in all 4 of them - he might resign himself to the role of a 'villain journeyman' , or possibly - he might fight like it's his last roll of the dice.

Before he was caught out i would have seen him as a threat but imo he is just fighting for paydays. I hope to be proved wrong and big Larry can turn back the clock and come out swinging those big hooks and catch Gary flush so at least we can see if the Highlander can take a punch before he connects with Larry O and KO's him!!

What I really think will happen is Gary will get his jab working and will connect in the 2nd or 3rd round and KO Larry, everyone will slate Gary for fighting him and we will still have big questions about him.

good crowd , larry just tucked up and barely threw a punch. carslaw vs thain was a good fight , carslaw thought he had him and went all out in a couple rounds but thain came back. small hall classic

Did it look like they'd agreed how the fight would go beforehand i.e. Cornish would win but not go to town and, likewise, Larry would not look to detonate?

I said it on another thread that Larry O didn't look interested from the minute I saw him at the weigh in and press conference!! Some people thought he was maybe trying to get into Gary's head but they were wrong!! Larry O came in covered his hands around his chin and looked to survive!! Gary did try by hitting him to the body but Larry O used his big arms to cover up and roll from the punches. What a difference to the Larry O that used to come in swinging!! He also looked very flabby too.

I am one of those who think Gary should have stopped Larry O but it can be hard to stop someone that is so negative and covering up so much!!

100% true, it was strange seeing a man that is being paid to get into the ring saying he isn't interested in titles but doing this to keep up with his drama and acting dream!
