Oleksandr Usyk to fill 35.000-seats arena in his 5th pro fig

Post by Boxing Writer »

2012 Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (4-0, 4 KO) will headline big boxing show, which will be held on the 35.000 Arena Lviv on September 27 in Lviv, Ukraine - http://boxingnews.com.ua/uk/novini/8545 ... oj-v-lvove
This article doesn't mention his potential opponents, but from my sources, BoxRec #18 Danie Venter is one of the options.
It will be quite impressive if Usyk fills 35.000-seats football stadium in his 5th pro fight (and I'm quite confident he will do it)

Definitely not a free entry. I'll post a link on tickets info when K2 officially announces the fight

He looks like a bad guy from a low budget Jackie Chan flick.

I'm a fan of this cat already. I think its great he allows a mentally handicapped person to cut his hair to show support to that community.

K2 announced today that Oleksandr Usyk (4-0, 4 KO) will face South-African Daniel Bruwer (24-5-1, 21 KO) on October 4. This fight will take place on 35.000-seats football stadium Arena-Lviv, WBO Inter-Continental cruiserweight title will be on the stake. Former WBA light welterweight champion Andriy Kotelnik (31-4-1, 13 KO) will be fighting on this card too. His opponent will be announced later.

I'm pretty sure he was being facetious. Usyk will no doubt become the top Cruiserweight. I think he can even move up to Heavyweight later in his career and win a title there. This guy is the real deal.

I love the attitude of these kids who don't want to mess around that seem to be popping up from various countries. For too long have we seen fighters treading water on the pretense of developing experience by fighting nobody. Now we have guys like Inoue, Lomachenko, Usyk and Tanaka who are all setting off with the intention that they are THAT good that they just want to prove it.

All of his pro fights are up on youtube as well. Make sure and check them out. He's very crisp with his shots. I really think he's the future of the Cruiserweight division, and one of the few guys there that I think can successfully campaign at Heavy post-Klitschko.
