Really excited about tonight's fight. Would love for Frampton to win. He seems like a pretty grounded guy, always comes across well and has good family ethics.

What concerns me however is what has happened with both fighters since their first fight. Frampton has only fought twice in 18 months, both at home in fights he won comfortably. Well the Cazares fight never really got started. 8 rounds in total plus an injury to boot. Martinez on the other hand has travelled the world, picked up a world title and demolished decent opposition. It feels to me like momentum is with Martinez who will have revenge on his mind and the added incentive of keeping his title driving him on.

If the occasion gets to Frampton and the McGuigans this could be a disastrous night. It looked like Frampton lost his cool for a moment at the head to head yesterday and Barry McGuigan looked very flustered when interviewed soon after.

So it's Martinez by late stoppage or tight on the scorecards for me. Hopefully not as Frampton has more than earned this opportunity.

I didn't catch the full weigh in, only managed to catch clips on TV. When going head to head, did Carl lean in with his head aggressively out the blue, or had there been any kind of animosity between the fighters or camps when weighing in?

In the first fight, Frampton did look bashed up and struggling in parts but still pulled out the finish. Should be an amazing atmosphere. Not long now!

Yes this could be a tough one for Carl, there is massive pressure on him here, as he's expected to win, and Kiko is one hard bastard with a very dangerous punch. I remember it looked touch and go in the first fight, so he is gonna have to be really on his guard tonight. Overconfidence could prove fatal.

Frampton for me, better boxer and has the power to keep Kiko off him.

Kiko has come undone before against people who can match him for strength and outbox him, Frampton can do this, obviously a dangerous fight against an in-form banger who will have found extra confidence and belief from being a world champion, but I see the Jackal winning again by late KO or nice points win.

I didnt see anything before the head to head, but in the clip I watched it stated Martinez had turned up late, took his time etc
Can't blame him too much for that. Everything is geared up against him in this one so maybe he was just reminding everyone who exactly holds the belt?

Certainly looked like Frampton leaned in to 'start it' if you will. All part of the build up though, people tend to look in to this stuff too much.

It looked planned to me, once Kiko was ready for the stare down, after taking his time getting his trackies back on, Carl walked right up to him and put the head in and was then pushed away. Up to that point he'd been calm and didn't seem flustered, I think he was just trying to rile Kiko up and get the crowd going.

Going for the upset here. Kiko has gone too much under the radar as a legit fighter and threat in the buildup. Think he will use that to his advantage and beat Frampton.

I dont see it myself. He beat Romero who was somewhat chinny and untested really and he beat Hasegawa who just isnt the same fighter he once was and spent too much time on the ropes in that fight exchanging big punches vs keeping on the move. I dont see a guy myself who has really improved. It's just the guys he's been fighting arent as good as Frampton. Atleast in Hasegawa's case, the current version of him.
