Fraudulent cases of rape claims are between 2-4% - the same as with most other false-claimed crimes.

You're talking as if the media choose only rape to be sensationalist about - they do it with everything - immigrants, crime, Russia, communism, football, ebola, salt in food, second hand smoke.... red-tops (or whatever the US calls shithouse news publications) do anything to sell stories. The fact that they use - and you (not just you, obv) pick up on over anything else - cases of rape to sensationalise, only serves to illustrate the misogynist slant of society and its perverse desire to vicariously see the suffering of women.
You don't live in the US. Quoting statistics can only take you so far. My original point (not really even sure what you're arguing) is that the media and public generally takes the victims (or "victims" in the case of fraudulent claims like the two I listed above) side when it comes to rape, domestic abuse, sexual assault before all the facts come out. Many times they are correct, and every once in a while (like two of the cases above) they are not.

Whereas what? Your personal opinion takes you further? We know that red-tops sensationalise to sell papers, and like I said, if they can sell rape stories to a misogynist, celebrity-obsessed public, then that is what they will do.
If the media truly were behind rape victims (ahem, so to speak) do you not think that they'd, you know, report in detail a lot more of the 100,000 cases of rape a year? The fact is they don't.
Rape is a crime that is ignored (and often - disgustingly) excused by the public, police and judiciary.

Your point is that the media and the public have a 'guilty until proven innocent' view on rape in the US. They do not. They are widely indifferent.
What they are is obsessed with celebrity sensationalism and misogynist imagery of abused women. There is an enormous difference between what they are and what you claimed them to be.
I hope you can see the difference, you honestly strike me as quite a bright chap.

Floyd could eat a baby with a rusty spoon on live TV

Why the rusty spoon part?
"Eat a baby on live TV" would capture the essence of what you're saying perfectly.
But your reference to the spoon being rusty makes me wonder-
Do people eat babies with clean spoons where you're from?

I see what you're saying now.

The national media does not report these kinds of cases unless someone "important" is involved. My cousin was raped. She has never fully recovered. She dropped out of school and has faced a lot of emotional issues. Of course this wasn't reported anywhere, not even in her hometown.

But when stories like this reach the public eye (for whatever reason) the perception is always guilty until proven innocent. No one want's to support a rapist, and if the alleged attacker is proven innocent they can just backtrack and say "Oops we made a mistake". That was my original point, and it was in regard to these "celebrity" stories, though I did not specify that.

Sorry, there used to be an amusing photo here, but the image host is gone, and I'm having a hard time finding it on my computer.

In lieu of the Ray Rice video being released, I feel more disgusted at how celebrated Mayweather is. I think its a disgrace someone like this is still the darling of the media - instead they do their best to promote him. The boxing commission and sanctioning bodies continue to support Floyd. Showtime continues to support Floyd.

The only difference between Mayweather and Ray Rice is that Floyd wasnt caught on camera.

I'm glad the NFL is finally being forced to take action against someone who knocked his woman out cold. On the other hand while Rice is being scrutinzed by society, Floyd gets a free pass, simply because he's a boxer and its a less popular sport.

Not true.
Like you mentioned, the camera/video makes all the difference. Not that hes a boxer.
Sh*t, even Chris Brown seems to have gotten off the hook, and we all saw Rhianna looking like Lumpy McLumpedup in photos. The video makes all the difference in the world.
If Floyd was on video punching a woman things would be different.
Plus, he already has zero endorsement deals. Zero.
So I wouldn't say he gets a pass.

There's certainly more hate for him than there is love. Much more.

And before you rage out on me for defending him, scroll back and see where I fall on the issue.
I'm not a Floyd supporter. I'm simply objective.

Brut your insatiable lusting after Floyd is borderline homosexual.
Maybe your hatred towards gays is stemmed from having these homosexual tendencies yourself.

I don't hate gays, I just don't like the fact that they try to put themselves into the category of race. Like I said, Homos like you can pretend that you are born gay but that just isn't true, you can wake up tomorrow and decide to be straight, I cannot wake up and decide to be white.

Get over yourself already and come out of the closet.

Are you shitting me? Floyd served jail time for a crime with no video or photo evidence, it's not looking like Rice will get any jail time. As said Chris Brown beat his women and busted her up quite badly and got off the hook, yet Floyd served jail time with no more evidence world of mouth!

In this case, why has Miss. Jackson finally came to surface with this, ironically weeks before Floyd is about to fight again? Everything in this case leads to Miss Jackson being a gold digging hoe. So Miss Jackson gets a pass for killing Floyds baby by getting a abortion, but in your case Floyd is automatically guilty and should be scrutinized by the public with no evidence other than some hoochie crying on camera? Miss Jackson is a terrible actor too, have you seen that video? It's sad and pathetic to say the least.
