Ruenroeng started with the perfect gameplan based on the strong aspects of his game... fighting at the boundary of the pocket with quick straight punch flurries. Ruenroeng was also timing Arroyo coming in with straights.
But as the fight progressed, Arroyo gained Ruenroeng's respect with superior pop, working Ruenroeng's body and stealing his mobility. That resulted in both fighting inside the pocket with Arroyo still working the body and both landing in trading situation. In round 6 Arroyo went down due to a left punch/push from Ruenroeng. Arroyo got up and both started to trade. Arroyo caught Ruenroeng with a left hook followed by a right behind the head and dropped him.
Ruenroeng gradually became fatigued, started to push his shots and throw wide arm punches like hooks in combo.
Arroyo remained more compact, better timed, quicker and more efficient.
