Also asks the question of why they ranked him so highly if he hadn't fought anyone decent  Alarm bells were ringing yesterday though when their President tweeted about "precedent".
Has billy responded via twitter or anything yet?
Nothing on Twitter yet, he must be gutted though as he had tweeted that he'd got the shot. Guess FW/QP etc are putting together a response now

Too much bullshit on twitter over the past ten days about BJS getting the shot. Why don't they make an announcement when the ink is dry on the contract instead of talking things up ? We had Buglioni tweeting Saunders yesterday to congratulate him on the shot when clearly nothing was set in stone. Madness IMO

I feel for Billy but this is probably for the best, Although Korobov doesn't look stellar, its a big step up for Billy and IMO he needs a few more solid tests before going in for titles.

Arum is apparently furious as it was agreed this would be Chief support on the undercard for Fury/Chisora , with Andrade to be fought directly after (and also appearing on the same bill in a 154 defence) which quite frankly would have been a masterstroke by Mr Warren.

Feel bad for Billy, but equally as bad for fwank as it appears his marriage with the WBO is over in spite of the incredible solution he and Arum devised above.

Maybe BJS can boil down himself and fight for the Light Middle belt that Andrade is seemingly vacating ? Because clearly rankings dont matter to WBO. And if Andrade wins the Middleweight version of the belt, he's not got much chance of winning that.

I always thought bill would move up in weight not down, may be miles off with this assumption

Instead of bothering to change weight division, why doesn't BJS just move up norf, like?

I mean, it practically guarantees you a world ranking with the IBF these days & once Soliman's finished giving Jermain Taylor some more subdural haematomas...

in my eyes he should be at 154, but he has a touch of Frankie Gavin about him, something i think we will see more of as he steps up, and likely loses.

Korobov-Andrade was ordered for the title, so Lee won't get the shot unless one of them decides to go another route.

WBO President Paco Valcarel tweeted that Andrade is staying at 154 and that BJS and Korobov will probably fight for the vacant title in England.

Good fight. I think Korobov will win it if it happens though.

In my view getting control of the promotion could be very important for this one, since I think there's a good chance that it's a close distance fight. Korobov also tends to fight lackadaisically and I believe that's a particularly bad attribute to have when fighting a usually more active opponent in their backyard, as I think a higher workrate is something a biased judge can cling to for justifying their score.

Not to say unfair judging will happen or that either man will necessarily need it.

Looks as if it may end up being Lee.

Matt Korobov vs Andy Lee for the vacant WBO Middleweight Championship now a possibility. Matter to be decided by Championship Committee.

What is FW playing at?! After the Eubank Jr own goal, surely a Saunders-Korobov fight would have been just the way to get the fans back on board as well as give BJ the fight he really wants?!?!?!

If I was Saunders I'd be fuming at this. Eubank has messed them around yet FW still wants it ahead of a major title shot!

Apparently Bob Arum has confirmed that Korobov-Lee will happen on December 13th in Dublin for the WBO title.
