I think Calzaghe Lacy is a close and good fight between two good boxers which ether could win but calzaghe is more likely to, however if you express such an oppinion on the Current Seen you are being a patriotic idiot (I don't even like calzaghe)

Yeah, I dont really count myself as patriotic, but after all that crap they are dishing out I do really hope Joe smashes Lacy.

It's hard to talk without a bit of bias, but from where I am standing Lennox was succesful, Hatton has recently done extremely well, so posts crop up from Brits praising the two and all of a sudden Brits are branded as extremely biased etc... Like I said, hard to talk without a bit of bias (as I am British), but I've always thought that the Americans were the extremely biased bunch... perhaps I am wrong, I dunno.

Anyway, no disrespect meant to anyone, but I'm just now hoping Joe does the business, preferrably in style!

I think you blokes are being very patriotic, Calzaghe hasn't fought anyone in years, Has fought what 2-3 times in 3 years, is getting towards the end of his career, Has he got the hunger , Has he got the desire to be the no 1 in the division.
Lacy is still on the way up, Has lots of hunger and wants to fight the best regularly.

I can only compare this fight to Tszyu Hatton and you know who won,
Joe is a good fighter but i don't think he is as good as Tszyu and i think that Hatton and Lacy are about even.
I can only see one result and it is a Lacy win.

I want to hear some peoples opinions on why Calzaghe is going to win and don't bring up fights from 6 years ago as he is no where near what he was back then.

I think Joe is going to have his hands full, but he does have good boxing ability, he'll need to use it, because if he goes barelling in throwing those wide cuffing shots, Lacy is going to deck him.

I think it will be a great fight, but expect Lacy to prevail by KO around R8. Wouldnt be at all surprised if it went the other way though, Calzaghe has been a top fighter for years. I just think hes a bit past his best. Ive also been very impressed by what Ive seen of Jeff Lacy, reminds me a bit of Tyson with his aggression and power. Looking at the size of him, I cant believe he gets down to super middleweight.
