Chances of Maidana KO.

Post by VG_Addict »

What are the chances of Maidana landing a punch on Floyd's chin and knocking him out?

Maidana is a good puncher but he didn't one-shot Amir Khan so really can't see him doing it to Mayweather. He could...but it's highly unlikely.

Exactly, i've been saying it since the first fight, Maidana couldn't knock out damn Amir Khan after 12 rounds, how does he want to knock out Mayweather then? But i have also said, that Maidana found Alexander very difficult & complicated, and FMJ is going to school Maidana, and we all know what happened.

I still don't think a KO will happen. That would be SHOCKING! I am picking Mayweather by UD again.

Correct.

He's a wear you down puncher, not a one punch knockout artist. Maidana doesn't have the power to catch Floyd cold, so in order to get a knockout he would have to be consistently landing on Floyd for at least seven or eight rounds. Just can't see that happening.

FMJ quits on his stool, late.

I just cannot picture Floyd quitting, really under any circumstances.

I'm just answering the question. If FMJ messes his hands up or sustains a leg injury and can't move away late, he will be getting pummeled and his corner will throw in the towel, between rounds.

That is the most likely scenario leading to a Maidana stoppage.

Yes. I can see Floyd going out ala RJJ against Tarver.

I could see his corner shopping it if needed, but not Floyd himself.

The scenario you just spelled out would seem the most likely to me too.

I can't imagine a situation where Mayweather gets hit enough to quit. If he fights on too long I can see. RJJ situation maybe.

But let's remember, Maidana is tough, can punch well. But he's no real superstar. Whatever happens with Floyd, he never took the one dangerous fight against a prime PAC.

He also lost to O DLH in my opinion

The Khan and Alexander fights were before him and Garcia really got into their stride, I think he's a different fighter now and a lot better. However I think Mayweather will eek out another close decision.

I think as long as Floyd stays off the ropes, he'll be fine.

About the same as Floyd knocking him out with one punch, virtually impossible.

Nope. I figured a stupid question deserves a stupid answer.
