Its absolute bollocks. He was in no more trouble than in the 3rd rd.lefty wrote:Hmm not sure about that stoppage. Vassell was definietly in trouble and he didnt at the stoppage but it seemed like it could of gone on a little longer.

So desperate to stop it he fell over in the process. He was on his feet, hadn't looked hurt and then he took a couple of clean punches, back into the ropes, then stopped.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Another silly stoppage after so much effort from both guys.

What's Halling on about in regards to Vassells job situation? Did he lose his job in the bank?

Well done to Eggington, theres a bit of raw talent there with him being only 20 years old. I agree with you Vassell took a lot in the 3rd aswell so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.lefty wrote:Hmm not sure about that stoppage. Didn't see much wrong with that stoppage, Vassell wasn't complaining either.

Decent enough stoppage

Sounds like it.lefty wrote:What's Halling on about in regards to Vassells job situation? Did he lose his job in the bank?
Crolla's fight is like a world title eliminator according to Halling, how can it be like an eliminator? Even if Crawford vacates he isn't first in line and beating Diaz won't put him there. If he's lucky and gets the vacant title fight, throw him in with Stephen Ormond and watch him unravel.

I wouldnt say it was really bad like some we see. I just felt like it could of gone on slightly longer. Even just 10 seconds or something.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:Didn't see much wrong with that stoppage, Vassell wasn't complaining either.

It would have been stopped slightly earlier if Richie Davies hadn't tripped overlefty wrote:I wouldnt say it was really bad like some we see. I just felt like it could of gone on slightly longer. His opponent tonight isn't in the WBO top 15 does nothing for him easiest fight for some time I reckonexpe wrote:Sounds like it.lefty wrote:What's Halling on about in regards to Vassells job situation? Did he lose his job in the bank?

Ideal stoppage imo, I would have stepped in at the same time, he was gone there.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Blown up featherweight who's been stopped in his last two meaningful fights, at a lighter weight. I don't think Crolla will have any issues but if he's going to be fighting for world titles he needs to moving past domestic level, not fighting a man who would lose to most of the top lightweights in the country at this stage.Naandrew wrote:His opponent tonight isn't in the WBO top 15 does nothing for him easiest fight for some time I reckonexpe wrote:Sounds like it.lefty wrote:What's Halling on about in regards to Vassells job situation? I know nobody rates Crolla but he's giving everything and he has a good trainer and that gives him a chance. He makes the best of what he's got and that's what I like about him. Reminds me of me. You don't always have to back the sure-fire winner.

These are the kind of matchups that make me wish the british fighter loses. I know that wont be a popular opinion but it's the truth.

Diaz looks like a Mexican Rob McCracken..
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
It's not that nobody rates him, it's just that he isn't world class and is a long way from it, he's a good solid, domestic level fighter who will be, and has been, in some great fights at that level, but when he moves up a level he will fall short.Neil Gee wrote:The stream kept freezing, every time it came back on the fight seemed even.expe wrote:You're gonna need a bit more than that to explain what you're on aboutNeil Gee wrote:expe![]()

Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Only because it's Gallagher, the more of his fighters that lose, the less his gob opens, which wouldn't do any harm, he had his own documentary on Sky last night, they just keep feeding his ego.lefty wrote:These are the kind of matchups that make me wish the british fighter loses. If anyone wants to tell me that in the modern era of titles he hasn't done enough to earn a shot I will call them a pudendum. Would he be favoured to beat any of the champs? No, but no-one can begrudge him getting a shot
