That is very true. The Gallagher effect plays a big part.expe wrote:Only because it's Gallagher, the more of his fighters that lose, the less his gob opens, which wouldn't do any harm, he had his own documentary on Sky last night, they just keep feeding his ego.lefty wrote:These are the kind of matchups that make me wish the british fighter loses. I know that wont be a popular opinion but it's the truth.

Prince Naz would be a blown up super-flyweight in your book wouldn't he. Call him a blown up Super-feather will you and stop making a plonker of yourself.expe wrote: Blown up featherweight who's been stopped in his last two meaningful fights, at a lighter weight. I don't think Crolla will have any issues but if he's going to be fighting for world titles he needs to moving past domestic level, not fighting a man who would lose to most of the top lightweights in the country at this stage.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Is it just me or does Crolla have a lot of unnecessary movement?
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Diaz isnt doing too bad so far.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
He started as a featherweight and has spent the majority of his career there, hence he is a blown up featherweight.jameswilson wrote:Prince Naz would be a blown up super-flyweight in your book wouldn't he. Only saw his fight with Muira knew he would have a go and that Muira has powerful straight left where as Ant isn't a one punch KO guy.lefty wrote:Diaz isnt doing too bad so far.
A fight with Hank Lundy would have told us a lot about Crollas world title chances but seems they want to tick time until Crawford vacates don't blame them it is his best chance of getting a belt.
Hope he does though met him a couple of times a really good lad

Well Crolla isn't a World champ and hasn't shown thus far he is would be a good World title challenger, hence I don't know why people are complaining him being in with a guy who is below that level too. It's like the people moaning when Rocky Fielding fought the guy George Groves knocked out, and justified complaining by saying 'George Groves knocked him out.' When it came to the fight Fielding had plenty of dodgy moments.lefty wrote:Diaz isnt doing too bad so far.
I expect Crolla to huff and puff to a win but not look amazing doing it.

He hasn't fought there for 7 years and won a World title away from home at Super-featherweight. Hence you are a berk.expe wrote:He started as a featherweight and has spent the majority of his career there, hence he is a blown up featherweight.jameswilson wrote:Prince Naz would be a blown up super-flyweight in your book wouldn't he. Bad cut from a clash of heads at end of round 3 for Diaz. He was doing so well!

A shitty finish. Feel for both fighters. Should be a technical draw but who knows?
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
He started at featherweight and has blown up from there to lightweight, stopping at super featherweight for a few years on the way, doesn't change that he used to be a featherweight.jameswilson wrote:He hasn't fought there for 7 years and won a World title away from home at Super-featherweight. Na a Technical Draw is the end result. Hope no one had money on that one.ShadrachSimmo wrote:Looks like Diaz quit.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
There is one thing interesting on this card. Its in pink and sitting next to Macklin. Any ideas?
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Now they're trying to turn it into a win for Crolla, embarassing interview.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Just a hiccup on Crolla's way to a World Title.
Time wasted. He would have won a decision or got a late stoppage and got valuable experience. Experience he needs.

They get their money back in those circumstances.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Na a Technical Draw is the end result. Hope no one had money on that one.ShadrachSimmo wrote:Looks like Diaz quit.
expe, Crolla has fought at Superfeatherweight too. Disgusting that John Murray and Derry Mathews fought a blown up Super-feather. Ohhhhhh actually Mathews used to fight at Superbantam! That fight was disgusting! A fight between a blown up Super-feather and a blown up Super-Bantamweight!!!

Very strange though as soon as the cut happened he dropped to a knee. He had no intention of coming out for the next round.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Na a Technical Draw is the end result. Hope no one had money on that one.ShadrachSimmo wrote:Looks like Diaz quit.
Didn't see the doctor either.

You have to back the draw for a TD with most bookies.jameswilson wrote:They get their money back in those circumstances.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Na a Technical Draw is the end result. Hope no one had money on that one.ShadrachSimmo wrote:Looks like Diaz quit.

That cut was pretty bad. I like Moore, but he's talking bollocks here.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
I do know what they're saying about Diaz's reaction but to me that was a fight stopping cut and if the ref & doctor hadn't picked up on it, they'd not be doing their jobs properly.
