12 round non title fight, Quigg holds no title at all, no matter what he, the WBA, Eddie Hearn, Sky or Joe Gallagher say.gazzman87 wrote:Well that was an embarrassing "world title" fight

Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Nah I think Quigg would easily deal with anyone at the European level who is a brawler. It's the ones who can box technically well who will have him.lefty wrote:If he had the power he had at bantamweight aswell it would of been more competitive I think. Jamoye gave it a good go. Cant fault his effot.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:Jamoye just too small unfortunately. Hearn won't let Quigg anywhere near Frampton.

He will because it generates good money, win or loseBoxerbeetle123 wrote:Jamoye just too small unfortunately. Hearn won't let Quigg anywhere near Frampton.
He won't risk Quigg before, hence the traditional sh1t Matchroom match ups
Frampton will destroy him
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
It was but I'm with Terry on that one. I hate matches like that. That is not world championship boxing in anything but name. Not even close to it. It was obvious what was going to happen.lefty wrote:Typical Terry stoppage.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Frampton v Quigg is loosing appeal fast. More and more looks like a mismatch.
Best thing I've seen the whole evening.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:Who's the girl in the pink next to Macklin? She's rather distracting...

Halling is an atrocious home town commentator to boot. He might aswell say i'm part of team matchroom when he commentates.

I liked Jamoye's effort but he just didnt have the firepower.Sklar wrote:It was but I'm with Terry on that one. I hate matches like that. That is not world championship boxing in anything but name. Not even close to it. It was obvious what was going to happen.lefty wrote:Typical Terry stoppage.

Agree...shocking reffing..its a bodyshot,he got up,let him fight on.expe wrote:How was that stopped? O'Connor had a shocker as usual, early stoppage, missed low blows, called break, then let Quigg tee off when they bounced off each other, missed every elbow, shoulder and forearm used by Quigg and was always out of position to see what was happening. How is he a star referee when Jeff Hinds and Bob Williams aren't?
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
I noticed the elbows, shoulder and forearms myself. He will get punished for these at a higher level to his own cost.expe wrote:How was that stopped? Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
I'm leaning towards a draw now, or maybe Frampton by split decision.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
They got enough people in the background for this interview....

Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
I do like Quigg as a person though, one of the good guys in boxing.

More chance pope converting to Islam than that onelefty wrote:Haha Quigg bursts out laughing when Rigo is mentioned.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
Cant argue with that. Frampton seems very similar in that sense.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:I do like Quigg as a person though, one of the good guys in boxing.

Frampton by clear decision.rossij8 wrote:What did you think before?Neil Gee wrote:I'm leaning towards a draw now, or maybe Frampton by split decision.
But Quigg is a strong, strong fighter, maybe he will make it closer than that.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
fair play to Joe Gallagher saying Rigo is to good P4P best.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
The clamour to throw people in with this guy is funny, though.lefty wrote:Haha Quigg bursts out laughing when Rigo is mentioned.
I believe the best should fight the best but when the best is that good, and that unmarketable it's a silly fight to take.
Re: Official boxrec RBR thread - Manchester and Mayweather cards
LOL. Quigg chuckling when Ed mentioned Rigondeux was funny, so too Joe's statement. At least they're realistic.

Yeah I wont argue with that. If I was in his position I wouldnt be overly keen.SNG wrote:The clamour to throw people in with this guy is funny, though.lefty wrote:Haha Quigg bursts out laughing when Rigo is mentioned.

He knows the score, Halling will be apologising in a minute for swearing, not supposed to mention his name.lefty wrote:Haha Quigg bursts out laughing when Rigo is mentioned.
Frampton beats Quigg with ease, too good for him.
'Maybe Scott thinks himself a bigger draw'
Stop pissing about Ed, Frampton fills arenas, Quigg can't sell out with the arena set up for a severely reduced capacity.
