Jerome Wilson Fundraiser

Post by curtis wood »

Hi boxrec, I'm sure by now you have all heard about the accident that happened on Friday night, Jerome is still on the critical ward in Sheffield receiving the best medical help possible, we are all absolutely devastated and hoping and praying he can pull through, sat around being upset isn't going to help Jerome or his family so I've decided to come out of retirement to fight my arch rival tommy boom boom coyle over 6 rounds on Sunday 28th of September in hull, it's going to be £10 entrance and there's a auction, people have donated some fantastic memorabilia for us, I'll be auctioning my shorts robe and gloves from my fight with willie limond, I'm pleading with any of you to please come down and show your support to one of our fallen soldiers, let's try and raise as much as we can to ease the pressure on his family, this has had a massive response and the boxing people have really rallied around to try and get this going, I'd like to say a massive thanks to tommy coyle and Jamie Moore for taking time out of there fight preparation to help with this, they didn't have to but never even hesitated, any help by you guys or suggestions on how we can raise a bit more will be welcomed, once again it got proved to me that boxing people are the best people in the world, really rallied together, makes me proud to be in the gang #JeromeWilsonFundraiser

That's a really nice touch Curtis. Show's what a good guy you are. By the way, for any of us that cant get to the fight due to where we are in the country, is there like a page or something where people can donate? If not maybe one could be set up.

Raising proceeds for Jerome Wilson Sheffield Boxer – Update on Donation Method

As you all know, Jerome Wilson unfortunately suffered a severe head injury in the ring on Friday night.

Jerome has now undergone life saving brain surgery and is currently in a critical condition.

Obviously due to the severity of the injury, Jerome will be in recovery for a long time and his boxing career is now over.

Jerome is self employed and raising a family of four children. The burden on his wife, Michelle, is huge and there will be no income coming into their household. Thank you for the donations that have been made so far, it is of great help.

We now have a more secure way of transferring funds to Michelle via paypal.

Log into Payapl.
Click Send Money.
Type in Michelle’s e-mail address – [email protected]
Send your donations

Please send cheques made payable to M.L.Boyce at Coldwell Boxing, Olympic House, 131 Masbrough Street, Rotherham, S60 1HW.

Many thanks,

Dave, Spencer, Damien, Katie, Beth, Matt and Lee - Coldwell Boxing

I wish I knew how to post photos.
Anyway here goes. I have a Leroy Nieman poster from Duran v Leonard 3 fight signed by Sugar Ray. Fully authentic you can even have a photo of the great man signing it.
If anyone interested please stick a bid here.
All going to Jerome's family.
I'll leave it until 9pm on Sunday.
Don't let me down guys - would love at least 50 quid.
I'll pay postage / packing.

I'll start the bidding off at £25.

To post a photo
1. Click reply to thread
2. The box to write your post in will open.
3. At the top where you can choose to bold and underline posts there will be an option saying Img, click it and this will come up -
4. Find the image you want to post online
5. Then right click the image you want to post and select copy image URL.
6. Copy and paste into the gap between the two [img] things
7. Submit the post

If the photo isn't on the internet then you'll need to post it from your computer onto the internet first. Facebook, flickr, photobucket and a few others will be fine to do that, then follow the same steps as above.

Hopefully that works and you get the picture up. :TU:

I'll go £40 on the poster.

I'll see if I can't get something going in my local too, quite a few local boxing fans in there. Let me know if your auctioning anything else off Parson, I'm sure I might be able to get a few decent bids. Image of the poster for me to share about would also be appreciated.
