I don`t know man. Peter may have his hands full.

Aubrey has tko wins over Shawn Dismuke and John Fish.

He better not take him lightly.

Ron Aubrey is basically a corpse with a winning record. He is 12-2-1 against other corpses and 0-1 against bums.

Stop being so hard on Sam Peter! :shame:

He hasn't fought in many, many months and is coming off two KO losses. Right now, he needs a warm-up opponent for his first fight back.

In his last fight, he KOed Toney.

Plus, he is a former pro hockey player.

I assume he was the team's enforcer.

I'm intrigued

This card is headlined by mayorga taking on a 9-23 fighter. That is motherfucking scary that this kind of stuff gets sanctioned. :o

In his second year as a pro, Floyd Mayweather fought a guy who was two divisions smaller and had a record of 1-13:

Maybe that shouldn't have been sanctioned?

Wow Tunney, that's a real eye opener. After confirming you claim, I looked at the record of many other top fighters, and [gasp], nearly all of them fought overmatched opponents early on (even the infallible Wlad Klitschko- I thought he only fights the best of the best).

People shouldn't be picking on Peter and Mayorga for taking warm-up fights, because just about everyone has fought some soft ones along the way (either early on, or as warm-ups after a KO loss or losses). I used Floyd as an example because so many here consider him to be the best.

I think early in your career fighting bs guys can be a lil more forgivable. The Floyd one is definitely bad even though Floyd was only 8-0, but if you look @ this guys record he had fought Junior f#cking Jones, who was 30+ fights into his career, earlier in his career. That is completely unforgivable. Sadly this sh!t happens all the time. Go to any club fight & if there isn't some 10-0 guy fighting a 0-4 guy or something similar its a rarity. I'd like to see commissions take sanctioning fights more seriously & try to maintain some level of competitiveness in their fights.

"Chavez down in the 4th and 5th rounds. Chavez' record given as 22(12KO)-16."

I wonder if it would have been sanctioned had boxrec been around.
