Rigondeaux vs Cruz
Rigondeaux vs Cruz
cruz is under top rank?
under which promo is rigondeaux?
and why isnt the fight already planned, its like adonis and kovalev, rig and cruz are the 2 best super bantamweight.
and who would win?

Re: Rigondeaux vs Cruz
Like all the rest of the top super batams Cruz will go nowhere near Rigo. Did you see Scott Quiggs face when asked about fighting Rigo? He will never go that direction.
Re: Rigondeaux vs Cruz
yeah but cruz is technicly infirior, but in terms of raw power cruz realy got some to damage. but you maybe right, donaire also had great power and except one knock down, was totaly outclassed and schooled in the fight.

Re: Rigondeaux vs Cruz
I'd favour Rigo if it happened, but Santa Cruz to me has a far better chance than most. We've seen Angulo and Maidana give Lara and Floyd trouble recently and LSC is offensively superior to either IMO. While Rigo'd score the flashier punches and have a superior connect %, Leo could overwhelm him in leather for 12 rounds to get a close, controversial win (with the right judges). I haven't seen the Agbeko fight yet - did he try to pressure him?

No, Agbeko barely tried.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:I'd favour Rigo if it happened, but Santa Cruz to me has a far better chance than most. I could see Rigondeaux having some rough spots with the pressure but nothing he couldn't handle.

Rigondeaux is boring as shit. Boxing doesn't need anymore boring fighters. Do boxing a favour and put him on a dingy back to Cuba. Just my opinion.

Re: Rigondeaux vs Cruz
I don't understand why so many people overlook Santa Cruz in this matchup tbh.
Rigondeaux's win over Donaire (his only noteworthy win to date) sheds no light on how he'd fare against a swarmer like LSC imo. Santa Cruz is going to be on him all night, not just looking to one-shot him and barely land a glove like Nonito.
Not that I don't think Rigondeaux's a great fighter, it just takes more than one win over a ranked opponent in a highly-favourable style matchup to convince me he's unbeatable.

I don't really want to send him back in a dingy, a boat ride is fine!verballistic wrote:Considering how hard it was for him to break out of that hellhole that's clearly a cold-hearted move you have in mind.Baby Face Finster wrote:Rigondeaux is boring as shit.
