easy night for groves who has enough intelligence to become really good at the top level in a year. I don't think his chin is dodgy. a great punch will always get you. he just has to get better at avoiding them

Because he got KO'd by a known puncher? You're a real bright one.
Froch isnt that big of a puncher at the top level though. How many of the top level fighters has he knocked out, bar guys with questionable punch resistance?

Christopher Rebrasse ought to wear a Carl Froch mask for the walk on down to the ring and the announcements inside it. Hit George back with a few mind-games!

He did also get knocked down by Kenny Anderson and severely rocked by Paul Smith.

I also believe he was seconds away from being genuinely stopped again by Froch in the first fight before Howard Foster stepped in and made Groves a multi millionaire.

James De Gale also said about Groves 'George's problem is he aint got no chin'.

The evidence suggests this isn't a myth. I won't be shocked if Rebrasse stops him if Groves doesn't get him out of there in the first 4 rounds.

The problem for Groves is Rebrasse has never been stopped OR dropped in his professional career ...

Just rewatched this. Smith landed a decent right hook at the end of the 1st but Groves was never severely rocked or even hurt in that fight

Degale didn't exploit that though sis he? Sour grapes after he was done all ways up tactically by Groves in their fight.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen is Jim whispering in Degale's ear that 'you got it! Shhh' and seeing Degale's smug face trying to contain his joy...only to have lost! Brilliant.

When the announcer went; "And still undefeated....." DeGale went to celebrate, only to realise Groves was undefeated as well.

Froch can whack so I disagree with your assessment there mate. Tough-nuts like Kessler and Pascale might be able to hang with him but Bute, then the fella that's fighting Paul Smith next, he scared into their shells. Not to mention Brian Mcgee. He has more than enough of a punch for the top level - hence the multiple world title fight wins.

Bute was on queer street against Librado Andrade and was known for having questionable punch resistance and not being the toughest. Abraham just didnt match up well with Froch who has a rock solid chin like Arthur does and Magee like Bute also didnt have the best chin in the world. I'm not saying Froch is feather fisted by any stretch but at the top level he's not a one punch type knockout artist.

I think being a one punch knock out artist at the top level is overrated. More often than not someone knocks them out. Most of the guys that hang around at the pinnacle of the sport year in, year out are not one-punch knock out artists - they are something far better.
