Pac-Money-not under those circumstances!!!

Post by Chepppaaa »

manny same as maidana is small, even smaller and with short reach. his only chance is to go in fast and deliver combos.

so, if now, the ref like for example bayless keep manny from getting in and floyd is able land frm outside, than its mayweather-maidana II all over.

a meaningles fight, because the ref does not know the rules and doesnt let a boxer box from inside, instead lets floyd hugg all the time and hold all the time,

than the ref breaks them 2 and floyd has the chance to box from outside and when manny goes in for his chances, "break", "break" and again "break".......

under those one sided circumstances mayweather-pacquiao should not be made.

Seriously, cheppa, kidbazooka , Pureist and a few others.. please please please do us all a favor and stop watching mayweather fights. It would be nice to be able to read the forum without every other post being about how you guys hate mayweather in some way.

Ha ... Manny is now a furious in-fighter, I guess he's Manny Hatton or something.

I'm glad others have picked up on the irrational spiral this guy and others have gone down since Mayweather/Maidana II. For the millionth time, Floyd is a dick, but he is a very good fighter. If you can't separate the two, then it shows that you can't be rational.

Sad.

supposedly he'll be a big time promoter by then, teaming up with schaefer and haymon,
and destroying golden boy and top rank instantly, or so i hear on this forum every
other day. any word on who is promoting floyd's next fight? is he finally going
to get out from under golden boy? if he fought manny, would it be under GB and TR?

I actually think he is so conceited that his ego will not allow him to have gbp promote his next card.
Floyd now has his promoters license in Nevada and New York.I just feel he will try to promote in May.
How successful he will be is up for debate.

I know some describe him as a great business man though I tend to feel that he's being an idiot in alienating the fans of a sport that he wants to promote in. A great businessman would be wanting to attract fans to the sport (lower PPV, better matches) for his long term profit. Then again the TMT fighters we get to see seem to show that his business sense isn't all that.

people nowadays love watching and spending money on stupid people. kardashian, paris hilton and floyd are 3 out of many examples.

floyd isnt a great business man. and i am gonne tell you why!

a smart business man, with the boxing talent of floyd, what should he do? make money. well now everybody is going to say floyd is the highest paid athlete etc., but do people understand, that just because you made 100 million a year doesnt mean you could not make twice as much if you were a smart business man. these 100 million, where do they come from, the come mostly from the urban community, that love to see their brother win after win after win. and they buy into the hype, like everybody does, because the all access shows from floyd are good, the hype the fight well, but the fight itself is 99 % shit.

now back to the point, what would a truly great business man do?

he would not waste his time boxing guys for 30-50 million a fight, he would go for the biggest fights and make 100+. I am talking about pacquiao, whoever wins a pacquiao rematch, just because 100+ sounds so good.

second point, he would be much more proffesional in his appereance and talk better, simply be more pro, like big stars talk, jorden etc.. what would than happen he would get endorsemant deals. nike, gatorade, mc donalds.......etc., that easily would bring additional 10-20 a year, maybe even more. tiger woods made in his best days 100+ a year by commercial and only 7 with golf. staying classy in interview does pay more than being an idiot like floyd acts.

also his fighting style, would he box more offensiv, along with his brilliant technic, btu would he actualy hurt and try or do tkos or kos, ppv numbers would 100 % go up and not go down like they did and reascent time.

and lastly, if he is such a great business man and organizes everything so well, how does it come mayweather promotion isnt even close, not even close to the status golden boy promotion has? simple answer, because he is not such a well organizes business man like oscar, and i am not saying oscar did it on his own, because oscar had schaeffer on his side, but still oscar had a lot to do with bringing big names to his company, such as sugar shane, hopkins and more and thats great business sense!!! and floyd can do shit, even with ellerbe, haymon and now schaeffer, that tells you something.

Sorry dude, comparing Pac to Maidana is ridiculous. Maidana is a crude brawler, not even as good as Castillo, who gave Money problems IN HIS PRIME. If Floyd was anywhere near his prime right now, Maidana would be nothing more than the guy who lost to Khan, beat overrated Broner & got dominated by Mayweather.

After the KO loss to JMM Pac has done lots of work with Roach & has improved his boxing skills & defense. I would have picked Floyd over Pac up until about 12-18 months ago. Floyd showed his slippage in both MAidana fights & Pac has broadened his game in the aftermath of the JMM loss. Pacquiao by clearcut but competitive decision. He gets in, lands & gets out before a slower Floyd can either hit him OR grab him. Not that Floyd wont land at all, just not nearly as much as he did against the relatively limited Maidana, who is not even in the same galaxy as Pacquiao.
Maybe I am the only one, but I think Maidana would give Pacquiao a lot of problems. Pac has better boxing skills over-all, but he would be in an all out war unless he gets on his bike like he did with Rios. I don't see Pac having the vastly improved skills either, imo. Floyd may have lost a little regarding foot speed, but his hand speed and reflexes still seem sharp as ever. His sharp mind and his ability to make adjustments in the ring would trump anything Pac brings. After seeing Pac wobbled by the feather-fisted Bradley, I am not convinced his chin will ever be the same. If JMM can bait Pac and land the same punch several times, Floyd will too.

Last I check pal this is a forum designed just for that so if you don't like it well u know.

As for the topic I agree refs like that c*nt Bayless is fuucking fights up for us the fans and if that's gonna be the case from now on in every Floyd fight then Fuuck Floyd might aswell get in with Klitkcko I'm sure Bayless will find a way for Floyd to edge that one out.

Try putting yourself in Bayless's shoes for just a moment. Lets say you watched the first fight, and witnessed the many, many illegal fouls that happened. You obviously see that 100% of them happened when they were in close tied up or when Maidana had Floyd trapped against the ropes. You saw Maidana lock Floyd's arm and twist it. You saw Maidana throw a knee towards Floyd's groin. You saw Maidana throw multiple low blows to the thighs, hips, and groin. You saw Maidana head butt Floyd. You saw Maidana tackle Floyd almost out of the ring. You saw Maidana throw kidney and rabbit punches. Last but certainly not least you saw Floyd push using his elbow and forearm to create space.

If you want a clean fight, what would you do? Bayless has reffed hundreds of fights, and is arguably one of the most respected refs in the game because he runs a tight ship and does not put up with nonsense. Keep them out of the very situation where the fouling occurs is what you do.

If Maidana has zero chance of winning unless he fights in a phone booth, then I would say his lack of skills are exploited. Maybe blame his team for not seeing it coming and coming up with an alternate game plan....because they knew it was coming. It makes me laugh at the guys that were totally ok with Maidana's fouling in the first fight are the ones crying the loudest now because he wasn't allowed to in the second.

Bayless like any other referee should be refereeing the fight as he sees it as it is unfolding. He shouldn't be going into the ring with any pre-conceptions of how the fight may go. If he does that then he is already influenced by past events and even if it is subconsciously, his refereeing will be affected by that.

In a perfect world, yes. I wonder if the ref kept a close eye on Tyson after he bit part of Holy's ear off in his next fight? Or, maybe, he should just pretend it didn't happen and wait for Tyson to spit out a chunk of ear in front of him.

I think it is part of a ref's preparation to know the styles and information about who he is reffing, especially in a championship fight.

I don't think any ref can look past previous fouls of the fighters.I actually think it is their job
to know what he is looking at with each fighter in the ring.Knowing their previous history is part of it.
And that is a good point you made about Tyson.

Feather fisted Bradley was ABLE to hurt Alexander more than Maidana could.
Good point...IMO Maidana is overrated. If he hadnt caught Floyd on the downside of his career, he would just be remembered as the guy who lost to Khan & Alexander but beat a vastly overrated Adrien Broner.

As for Badhusker's point about Pac fighting Maidana the same way he fought Rios, why wouldnt he? The new Pac learned a lot from the KO loss to JMM & is a much more cautious fighter. He is also a much better boxer who utilizes his speed to greater effect than he used to, which is why I pick Pac over a steadily fading Mayweather. Even a year ago I would have picked Floyd to beat Pac but in 2014 Pac has reinvented himself & Floyd has only lost a step.
The thing is, Pac's relentless style back in say 2010 was the main reason some thought he would beat Floyd. Now that he is a reinvented, more passive fighter like you say, he would be easier for Floyd to beat, not harder imo.

Let's say Floyd offered Pac a fight for May 2015, with a 50-50 split on everything, lets Pac choose ring size, gloves, basically everything in exchange for random blood testing up to 14 days from the fight. Would Pac take it, and if so, why didn't he back then?

Floyd is probably going to push his PPV now with Cotto and Canelo grabbing the May date.

No Latino PPV buyer is going to order Mayweather-Khan during the Cinco De Mayo weekend and as we know Latinos make up a huge demographic of ppv.

Unless of course he agrees to fight Pacquiao, which he wont since he's having too much fun calling him "Miss Pacman" and knocking his PPV numbers (as if Maidana or Canelo (not yet) or Cotto have had a history of selling over 1 million)
