Maidana vs Pacquaio Who Wins?

Post by bnovelist »

Given that Pac breezes through Algerie, how would he fair against Marcos Maidana? Yes Pac has the most experience but those two fights

against Mayweather Maidana has jumped up to ELITE status giving decent showings. I honestly believe that if these two met up it would be

another Pac vs Marquez type of battle with an immediate rematch being involved :bag: :bag: I'd like to actually see this fight and it

would easily do 750k PPV with Maidana pushing Manny to his very limits! :OhYes: Really at this stage of have no desire seeing Maidana

taking a backstep in class fighting the likes of Thurman, Porter, Bradley, etc... The only fight that I would love to see him is against

Pac or Marquez at this stage he's made it to this level.

You have no interest in a Maidana-Thurman fight at all? Why? you hate match ups between outstanding fighters who come to fight every time out like, well.....no boxing fans that I know do?

Much as I despair about some of bnovelist's posts, you can't say Thurman is an outstanding fighter who comes to fight every time, and Pacquiao isn't. Pac fits that description better than Thurman does!

Manny is well past his best but he still beats Maidana, too quick, too skillful.

I had strong interest in Maidana vs Thurman.....until Maidana backed out saying he needed a tune up fight first for the prospect Thurman.

Pacquiao would beat maidana easier than Floyd, probably a shut out like Rios and margarito.

Fun fight. I don't hate Marcos' chances these days, but I'd likely pick Manny if it was made a reality.

Maidana wouldn't win a UD. Never! He may have a small chance of a KO, but if a KO happens, he would be the one, laying on the ground. Pacquiao would win this, no doubt! Let Maidana fight with Bradley or Thurman.

I never said Pacquiao isn't a fighter who comes to fight every time......I was just commenting on the absurdity of being a boxing fan and NOT having any interest in a fight like Maidana-Thurman.....

for a second i thought you were just an idiot, who makes stuff up

then i googled, and found out, you're just an idiot, who believes what someone on twitter posted

as you seem to copy it word for word.

But no, you're idea of what went down isnt correct.

and the Maidana "Tuneup" fight they wanted in cancelling the "proposed" fight, was going against Canelo.-- haha, some tuneup huh?

Maidana never backed out against Thurman, as the fight was never signed.- it was just being talked about by HBO

that's like saying your Buddy Floyd backed out vs Manny and GGG

Given the life & death struggle that Thurman had with Chaves I would favor Maidana if they ever fought, I just think Maidana is the better fighter.

Pacquiao would win a wide points decision, but if Rios wasn't knocked out I don't see Maidana being KO'd.

Yeah Thurman is more of a boxer-puncher. He's quite cerebral in his approach.

I've never particularily thought Manny was that skillful myself although his style and natural speed and decent power has always caused very good fighters problems.

Chaves is a good fighter though. Just hadnt fought any name opponents before and Keith still knocked him out in the end. I think Thurman beats Maidana myself.

First of all before calling anyone an idiot, look into it a bit more so you don't appear to be one yourself...a risk you take every time you post. Secondly I don't even look on twitter. Check out this BS link that has a few articles on it. One of them says it was a scheduled fight, and Maidana was thinking about withdrawing. It was to be a co-feature on the Broner-Escobedo card. Normally if a fight is scheduled it is at least closed to being signed. It definitely was negotiated until they thought Thurman was too big and too good and not enough well known. Maidana withdrew. Call it what you want. The one thing I did have wrong was that it was Thurman that was supposed to be a tune-up for Maidana, instead of Maidana needing a tune-up for Thurman.
