Why is Butler title "record Breaking"

Post by whicker »

The Warren website says that the Butler world title fight is record breaking, but I can't find why- so yeah, why is it record breaking?

Britain has never had a world champion at 115, it would "complete the set" for Britain

Fewest fights to world title for an Englishman is the record he holds, fewest fights to world title in 2 divisions and 1st Englishman since Fitzsimmons to win world titles in desending divisions are the records he going for.

I hope he wins, and continues his progression but i can't help but feel winning a title and holding it will eventually ruin his ascension under FW. to many soft defenses will be the end of him.

Fair point, I wonder how many soft defences you can get away with, with an IBF belt.

Butler vs Yafai would be a domestic cracker, and Eddie said he intends to steer his man into the mandatory slot next year. To me, that is Eddie telling Fwank, if you get yourself a world champ I'll come take the title off you.
