Exactly. It was one of those fights, could've gone either way and Abraham winning by a point or two, no problem at all.

If you think Germany is worse than England I think you're in denial.

I had Smith edging it by one round, but had AA got it by a few no complaints from me. Lots of close rounds, but 119-109, LOL!
Exactly. Why are Halling and Watt so surprised? As if it's never happened before.

England isn't perfect, far from it but that scoring tonight has got to be the worst I think I've ever seen, it's just complete fantasy.

Disgusting

Reeks of Reid V Ottke all over again. British promoters need to stop doing work in Germany, there so blatnt with their cheating it's fuckin insult.

Smith went above and beyond tonight and didn't put a foot wrong.

Total disgrace! Boxing is becoming a joke! Whats the point? I agree with some of the scoring being a joke in recent fights in the UK aswell but 119/109!! No point Smith turning up

You have to remember that this was a voluntary defense though. They didnt have to give Smith the fight.

I was reminded again tonight why I've avoided watching fights in Germany for as long.

Just utterly, utterly vile. 119-09 is scum scoring.

I think everywhere is as bad as everywhere else. The Sky commentary was abysmal and will no doubt have encouraged the calls of "robbery". It wasn't a robbery, dispassionately Artur did enough to win the fight but Smith did enough to be within two or three rounds. The scorecards were, in my opinion, too lopsided but you can't call a fight a robbery when the right man is taking home the belt.

P.S. Artur is done and should consider knocking it on the head.

Yes. This one tonight was so bad the cards might as well have been written before the fight. Those cards were nothing to do with that fight at all.

Interesting.......in this case I agree with AA winning and I think having the correct winner is the most important thing, but the 119-109 card was far more off the mark rounds-wise than anything turned in for Burns-Beltran.

:TU:

Bad decisions happen everywhere.

If I was Groves I'd be begging to fight AA after that.

Never been a fan of smith and never believed he deserved a shot at a world title .
However fair play to him tonight , he did himself proud and in all honesty I thought he just edged it.
A ten round victory to Abraham is an absolute disgrace ! .

Yeah very true. It's weird though because his punches still look very powerful though when he lets them go but obviously it's deceptive.

That was close and Beltran probably deserved to get the decision, but one had it for Beltran, another a draw and another 115-112 for Burns, I can accept a draw, but I can't find a way to score that fight in Ricky's favour. The difference is that the equivalent of tonights decision would be to score it 118-110, 116-112, 116-112 in Burns' favour. It's not just that's it's a robbery, it's how obvious it is. Here if it could go either way, or the away fighter's just nicked it, it gets scored close to the home fighter, in Germany it's scored wide in favour of the home fighter, if you win a fight 116-112 here, it might be scored closer, but you'll get the decision, in Germany that doesn't even guarantee you a draw, to be certain of winning on the cards you need a near shutout.
