One of the Saddler/Elorde fights, I believe it was the second, was ridiculous.

One of the dirtiest fights that I remember was Samuel Serrano vs Julio "El Diablito" Valdez...It was so ugly that police had to intervene. It was in 1979 in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Norwood - Gainer.

Marciano vs Cockell was a dirty bout. It immediately sprang to my mind.
Re: Dirtiest Fights
the british newspapers claimed that cockell should have rightly been the world heavyweight champion after that fight, declaring it would always have been a DQ win for him if it was in a british ring.Crease wrote:Marciano vs Cockell was a dirty bout. It immediately sprang to my mind.

When I saw this fight a few years ago I was sickened by it.
Turned me off on Rocky, to be honest.

Don was just as bad, I haven't watched the fight in a few years but they both gave as bad as they got.doug.ie wrote:the british newspapers claimed that cockell should have rightly been the world heavyweight champion after that fight, declaring it would always have been a DQ win for him if it was in a british ring.
