Saunders V Korborov back on for WBO 160 Belt
According to the WBO president Andrade withdrew from the fight and a deal has been for BJS to step in- I will wait until the contracts are signed but if confirmed good move by Frank.
Eubank may as well just sign for matchroom & continue to fight Latvian plumbers on sky for the next 6 years.

Interested to see how this plays out because if the fight does go ahead and Saunders wins against Korborov. Chris eubank jr potentially could get the big fight with Billy and potentially be a world champion with in 6 months

No chance of Eubank fighting BJS in the next six months.

FW needed to pull something out the bag. I thought the word interim would be involved tbh

The contracts may not be signed yet but I can't see it being a problem as it seemed almost done before Andrade's team stuck their noses in.
Does this mean Andrade is going to fight on the card too, as per the original agreement?

That was the initial plan, for Andrade to defend his 154 belt against a ranked opponent, and then be mandated to fight the winner.PokerRob wrote:Fight on FW card???keirw wrote:The contracts may not be signed yet but I can't see it being a problem as it seemed almost done before Andrade's team stuck their noses in.

which is an excellent move for all parties.
Hope Frank pulls it off, i actually feel like the eubanks have done him over a bit here.

Would be a cracking fight if this goes ahead. Can BJS win this fight? One thing for sure is Korborov is leagues above CEJ.

Korobov is probably a favourite, but neither man have looked special in there last few fights. BJS has had 4 competitive fights in a row albeit a level below so he should be prepared if things arent going his own way.rubberneck wrote:Would be a cracking fight if this goes ahead. id favour Korobov on points as BJS gets hit a bit to easy for me.

Is Beefy ranked by the WBO?Yes We Can wrote:That was the initial plan, for Andrade to defend his 154 belt against a ranked opponent, and then be mandated to fight the winner.PokerRob wrote:Fight on FW card???keirw wrote:The contracts may not be signed yet but I can't see it being a problem as it seemed almost done before Andrade's team stuck their noses in.

I no it probably isnt gonna happen, but just imagine the bragging rights Frank will gain if Beefy beats Andrade in London
Re: Saunders V Korborov back on for WBO 160 Belt
Agree that Korobov is favourite, but it's an eminently winnable fight for BJS. Korobov hasn't looked special in any of the fights I've seen televised over from the US. He looks very one paced and has been shaken up pretty badly a couple of times (cant remember exactly what fight springs to mind, perhaps Edwards??). It may be that he's got another gear as he may be adjusting down to the level of the opponent and it's hard to fault 24-0. No doubt he's got a solid punch when he gets around to landing it but if BJS wants to campaign at World level this is a fight he should be winning.Yes We Can wrote:Korobov is probably a favourite, but neither man have looked special in there last few fights. Every article I ever read about Korobov harks back to his amateur pedigree, but 1) that was a long time ago and 2) BJS was no mug amateur himself. Good fight.

Korobov is like Gavin, good amateur, doesn't have what it takes for the pros.
He's probably better than BJS though. Korobov late stoppage.

He's ranked 12th and Selkirk is ranked 7th for some reason.keirw wrote:Is Beefy ranked by the WBO?
