Artur Beterbiev vs. Tavoris Cloud

Yep, Cloud is so toughikorolev wrote:Nobody is too tough for Beterbiev. He can be outboxed, but not outslugged. If he has enough time for preparation, Cloud goes down.Woldemar wrote:Bad fight for Beterbiev

Cloud had never even been knocked down before. B is the most impressive larger sized fighter I've seen since the Klitschkos debuted.Yep, Cloud is so tough![]()

Will be VERY interesting to see where Beterbiev goes here. You know Dawson isn't going near him. And Adonis obviously isn't either. And Pascal seems content to just fight sit on his ass anymore. Bute has a glass chin so he won't fight him either. That leaves Hopkins or Kovalev among fights people actually would want to see. And Fonfara also.
I'll go out on limb and say Fonfara will be Beterbiev's next good fight. Not his next fight period. But his next real opponent. He'll probably fight and run over someone like Sillahk next.

I have a feeling there are a few more heavy handed guys at 175 that have yet to be introduced to us.
Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Tavoris Cloud
Beterbiev will fight again on December 6th on the undercard of Bute. I'm guessing the money won't be there for a live opponent.
Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Tavoris Cloud
I heard that Pascal may be on the same undercard. It gets intriguing

It was a bit odd of them to target Cloud so soon. Now he won't get good fights, period.Maxime wrote:Beterbiev will fight again on December 6th on the undercard of Bute. I'm guessing the money won't be there for a live opponent.

Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Tavoris Cloud
he was a five fight novice? Anyway a couple of those guys were very tough trial horses and good measuring sticks. Noone takes Rayco Saunders for their second fight. This guy did, and crushed him. Prior to that, Saunders had been stopped once in 25 losses - 11 years ago - and was regularly fighting 10 rounders over the past couple of years.ikorolev wrote:As if he was getting good fights before that ....Riddick Blowe wrote:It was a bit odd of them to target Cloud so soon. Now folk will complain if he steps down again following this win. A win that emphatic against Cloud puts him straight into contender status.

So Lomachenko can fight for a belt in his second fight and there is something wrong with Beterbiev taking on a former possibly shot champ in his 6th ?Riddick Blowe wrote:he was a five fight novice? On the contrary, there's nothing wrong with it at all, I was just saying it was a bit odd since now he'll be expected to be fighting around championship level and he won't be able to get good fights since he destroyed a top 15 guy so easily. Given his age I think they have to put him on the fast track but it's going to come at a price.ikorolev wrote: So Lomachenko can fight for a belt in his second fight and there is something wrong with Beterbiev taking on a former possibly shot champ in his 6th ?

Should try and put him in with Campillo next. He cant cost that much surely.Riddick Blowe wrote:On the contrary, there's nothing wrong with it at all, I was just saying it was a bit odd since now he'll be expected to be fighting around championship level and he won't be able to get good fights since he destroyed a top 15 guy so easily.
