Na I really think Joshua would deal with him now. Obviously Price can seriously whack so it would be a dangerous fight though for sure.

Price looked pretty bad against Zavarotnyi to me, looked like the confidence had gone and he was afraid to commit to his shots. I think Joshua would bound out there and take him out early doors.

He just looks too skinny to me for his height for a heavyweight. I mean he always looks in great nick and does have some muscle on him but I dont think it's enough. He doesnt have a solid look about him. I mean Wladimir is chinny but he still looks physically strong when he has go into wrestling mode. Joshua showed the same when he fought Skelton.

I would pick Joshua to win and actually would be fair surely in the pick, Price's chin is suspect and Joshua is showing that so far he has serious power.

It would be a stupid fight. There are less risky stepping stones. Joshua is the superior fighter but price is very heavy handed. As David says, it could be made if it means something.

Yeh have to agree even at this early stage of his pro career I think Joshua would destroy Price, but it is a big jump up in class and bookies would probably have Price as marginal favourite.

Didn't think much of Joshua at first but think he's actually got something now, was never sold on price just too tentative and his body shape is all wrong for a pro heavy, think Joshua would deal with him quite easily

He never could. The way Cammerelle (spelt that wrong, I know) stopped him in the amateurs, you knew he had punch resistance issues. It was masked in his unbeaten pro fights because he wasn't tagged hard by an opponent until he ran into sex machine Thompson

Price's right hand is a serious curve ball when predicting these types of bouts. Tony Thompson has an insane chin the way he made the count in the rematch, there isn't many people on the planet that could take a flush straight right from Price, unfortunately for him TT was one of them.

Why fight Price now? Once you step up, you can't step back down again (Bruno vs Chuck Gardner is a case in point) the fight will be there in 18 months so why not wait? Has Joshua gone 8 rounds yet? Give him some decent Yank heavies to learn from, you would think these days that there were no more American heavyweights left. There are loads who will go 8 rounds with him.

You have to look at it from both camps.

Joshua would probably win it but as stated price is very heavy handed and looks at the moment just below world level after Thompson beat him twice. Its a step up but a dangerous one. Its not really a massive fight at the moment. Both are trying to climb the rankings. If joshua lost then it doesn't really look good does it.

As for Price, why would he want joshua when he is trying to rebuild after the 2 defeats? He can't afford to slip up again and joshua is well capable of making him look silly. If that happened the price would be pretty much done at the top level.

Now, if they win their next 2 or 3 fights and somehow get to a final eliminator then it has something real at stake and would be a promoters dream. Then it means something and the risk would be worth taking for both fighters.

I thought the Cammarelle fight was a toss up, but he lost to Savon. To be fair to Joshua he had already beaten Camarelle before. He actually boxed better in the worlds than at the Olympics. The pressure seemed to affect him, especially against Savon.

The Hearn article was cringeworthy to say the least! Trying to build the hype train.

Still, a certain level of hype is justified. I often think some on here, especially on the British scene play it down a little too much. Fancy a British super heavyweight olympic gold medallist generating a bit of hype!

Seems to me that the yanks on the current scene seem more excited about Joshua than people on the British.

Remember, even taking away his Olympic Gold, he had already surpassed anything Fury and Price managed in the amateur game. His World Silver medal was a far bigger achievement than Price's Olympic Bronze and any amount if ABA titles.

Kalle Sauerland sounds like a pretty smart man to me. I was impressed with his interview to the BM - Glyn Leach's final piece, I believe ( ) I think Price is in good hands there. Groves likewise. Of course how far each goes, ultimately will come down to the boxers, not the Sauerlands.
