Froch v Kessler 3?
Just watching Boxing Tonight on BT Sport, and they have mentioned that it looks like Froch v Kessler 3 late January at the O2, has anyone else heard this or perhaps G0mez could shed some light on it?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Hope not Kesler is'nt the same fighter he was .
Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Kessler's been inactive for over 16 months.
Would that fight make much money?

Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Exact my thoughts...!
Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
I'd rather see him fight degale myself, Kessler is past it now
Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Kessler vs DeGale should be made with the winner getting Froch.
The winner would have a good amount of credibility. Which would be pretty useful if Hearn wants to put Froch's next fight on PPV.

Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
No need for it as there is no intrigue in the fight, both good scraps but a third fight is just missing something and I'm not sure it would do well ppv...Its essentially a testimonial for both

Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Nothing fight. Why not take on a hungry younger challenge like Degale?
Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Yep not the most interesting fight is it. Would much rather have had a Vegas finale for Froch.
Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Given that Froch-Groves I was said to have sold (slightly) better on PPV than Froch-Kessler II, I would think Froch-DeGale might do better than Froch-Kessler III. But Froch seems much keener on facing Kessler than DeGale...
Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
I wouldnt pay to watch that shit. Kessler is shot to s#hit. I think i'd be more inclined to actually pay for the Bellew-Cleverly rematch over that.

I'd much rather see Bellew-Clev II. There's a good chance I won't even stream Froch-Kessler III if it happens.lefty wrote:I wouldnt pay to watch that poo. Kessler is shot to s#hit. I think i'd be more inclined to actually pay for the Bellew-Cleverly rematch over that.

Froch v Kessler 3? Really not appealing to me at all. We've all ready seen it twice and that is where it should be left.
What next after this, Froch v Groves III? Fight someone new!
I don't think I can bare the 'Two warriors going at it' spiel, again.

I think the link with Sauerland and the money Danish PPV brings in May have twisted Eddies arm.

If it's true it's obv a last payday cash out fight similar to when joe fought RJJ.
Also, I wouldn't say kesslers completely shot, more shopworn. He could still beat a lot of super middles.

Considering he gave Froch a great fight in his last bout, where is the evidence he is shot?stevieb_8006 wrote:If it's true it's obv a last payday cash out fight similar to when joe fought RJJ.

I think it'd be a hard sell to Degale seeing as he's already inline for one of Carl's titles.Horse wrote:Kessler vs DeGale should be made with the winner getting Froch.

Whoever said it being a testimonial. Spot on that

Either fight Kessler or no Froch fight.SNG wrote:I think it'd be a hard sell to Degale seeing as he's already inline for one of Carl's titles.
Maybe it could be for the IBF or WBA regular/interim.
Winning the vacant title against a relative nobody like Ramirez is going to do far less for his reputation than beating Kessler.

Re: Froch v Kessler 3?
Although I don`t think this would be fought exhibition style like Calzaghe v RJJ (two mates milking the money out of a nothing fight) there is nothing in this fight to interest me.
Kessler obviously needs a few quid and Froch is his mate, so it makes sense for the both of them. This would be better off in Denmark. They would sell out 50,000 over there in Parken no problem. In the UK it struggles. Who really wants to see a third fight? Not me.
They are both great fighters, but it`s old ground.
Either give the mandatory (degale) a shot, get Dirrell in a unification fight, Chavez in Vegas or just pack it in. Froch wants a couple of huge paynights before retiring and he deserves that, but at least serve us up something that creates some interest. Kessler, by the reaction on here, does not do that.
If it get`s made, it will be interesting to see Adam Smith trying to hype it up as a the most anticipated clash in years. The rubber match, two warriors at one apiece. This is for bragging rights, this is for Legacy.......

Not my favourite sign-off fight for Carl to be honest.....I'd prefer him in with Degale or to head stateside and take Dirrell on for another belt in his backyard. Fantastic achievement if Carl were to become a three belt holder and win again in the US.
Trouble is....Dirrell and Chavez don't seem to want play ball, so it looks like it is Carry on Kessler.

I didnt know that Dirrell had even been approached about fighting Carl or that that the fight was ever an consideration.Bodyshot3 wrote:Not my favourite sign-off fight for Carl to be honest.....I'd prefer him in with Degale or to head stateside and take Dirrell on for another belt in his backyard.
