Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
Audley would win this easily. Have the people predicting otherwise seen Kimbo's boxing matches? Some dreadful and undersized fighters have hurt him and/or come very close to beating him
Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
Audley wins with ease. This sells to the casuals hugely though.

I'd imagine both these guys would want far bigger purses than they are actually worth. Audley is talking about Haye rematches for christ sake so he is clearly aiming way too high.

I think they are worth a few quid for this. Both are much better known than Bellew and Clev! Seriously.jameswilson wrote:I'd imagine both these guys would want far bigger purses than they are actually worth. Eddie Hearn will lose credibility if he puts this on, ok on a Tuesday night in Bethnal Green but not on Box Office.
Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
Audley is no world beater but let's get real for a moment,
Kimbo's best win was probably against a fat Mexican drug dealer in someone's back garden ffs!

It will double Box Office takings. Kimbo is better known than the three of them put together.adambeaumont wrote:Eddie Hearn will lose credibility if he puts this on, ok on a Tuesday night in Bethnal Green but not on Box Office.
Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
That fight won't happen.
Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
That's pretty much the reason that he hasn't fought anybody since 'unretiring'. He thinks making a comeback involves sitting round and waiting for somebody to offer him a big fight.jameswilson wrote:I'd imagine both these guys would want far bigger purses than they are actually worth. I'm surprised Hearn hasn't tried to put Harrison v Briggs...

Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
Easy win for Audley. Stay out of trouble early then get into a position to throw a punch, knowing Audley he'd take until about round 4 for that to happen by which time Kimbo will be so gassed my granny's handbag would knock him over.
Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
Sadly correct. If kimbo fights he's the biggest well know name on the bill which really shows what a piss poor ppv view this is. Only a mug pays for this. A message to anyone buying it......your only encouraging hearn to keep ripping the fans off by making half decent fights ppv. If he does it for this fight and its a success he coul litrally do it for 30% of all match room cards. Dont by it.....look for a stream.....do not encourage hearn/line his pockets.adambeaumont wrote:Eddie Hearn will lose credibility if he puts this on, ok on a Tuesday night in Bethnal Green but not on Box Office.

This is a mistake on Slice's part... Audley is a joke, but this will prove the difference between a sideshow act, and a legitimite boxer... just like when Cooper annihilated Savage in the 90s...

Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
Kimbo should've been on a prizefighter show, that would've made more sense. As it is I expect Audley to KO him in max of 4 rounds.
I'm fairly certain the fight won't happen though...

Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
I wouldnt mind seeing Joshua vs briggs (well from a selfish fan perspective not if you take into account Brigg's health)

Haven't all the streams been shut down now?rio wrote:Sadly correct. If kimbo fights he's the biggest well know name on the bill which really shows what a piss poor ppv view this is. Excellent comparison there. I love watching that fight, the picture quality is shocking but at least somebody had the idea of filming it. I love how Bert ducks, rolls and bides his time before unleashing the big hooks and just destroying Savage.HomicideHenry wrote:This is a mistake on Slice's part... It was a shocking fight... An old man who had never had a pro fight, and whose so called bare knuckle career seems to be undocumented, against a former world title challenger and experienced hard hitting pro.... You must be a sadist.JimJim2009 wrote:Excellent comparison there. I love watching that fight, the picture quality is shocking but at least somebody had the idea of filming it. No idea why Savages management accepted this over a fight with Chuck Gardner type....
Kimbo is vulnerable and old and shouldn't be let near Harrison, but he's a lit better than Savage

Why must I be a sadist ?! It was a one round hiding, they do happen quite a bit. I did not feel sorry for Savage, he was intent on doing exactly the same to Cooper given half a chance. It's called a fight.

Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
It will be fun (not a brawl) fight, I would watch it. Someone is going to sleep. This fight would be good added to a prizefighter bill.

Are we all talking utter rubbish here - I mean speculating about something that we've tricked ourselves into thinking might happen ? I have not heard anything about it from elsewhere, has this been mentioned by Matchroom ?
Re: Kimbo SLice vs Audley Harrison
IFL (Kugan) have been telling Eddie to put it on, Eddie usually laughs it off but says AH might have a chance to box on the show.

The original upload was terrible quality but since then some one has put on a far higher quality version:JimJim2009 wrote:Excellent comparison there. Remember following Savage's proposed involvement in a heavyweight tournie followed by the Cooper massacre in the British press at the time - it wasn't until many years later that I saw the actual footage of YouTube
Cooper was an absolute beast when he wasn't high and overweight.
