How will Kovalev/Hopkins/Bertebiev/Adonis

Post by Chepppaaa »

situation turn out. who will be the undisputed #1 light heavyweight in round about 1 1/2 when all top level guys will have faced each other to determin a true #1

X is boxing Kovalev. Adonis wants the winner.
As for Bertebiev, he is a dangerzone for anybody!!!

right now LH is the most interresting division to me. realy hard to figure out who is going to come victorious out of all them top level boxers.

Bertebiev, haha!

Hopkins will retire very soon, and Adonis is old aswell. Kovalev is the furthest right now. #1!

Stevenson SAYS he wants the winner but he's not going to take that fight.

No matter what happens in the ring Hopkins will be retired within a year and a half.

I'm going with Kovalev.

but with dawson, fonfara etc...its not like adonis is known for backing down from quality opposition.

i mean there is some truth to it, that he didnt say clearly enough that he wants kovalev, but if kovalev knocks out X or wins in impressiv fashion, than $$$ for adonis that would be the #1 fight and 99,9 % of the time $$$ makes fights.

I dont think he's actually fighting at light heavy. Like you mentioned, he was just fighting above the 168 limit because there was no belt or anything on the line. I'd imagine he'll be back at 168. The only problem he's got though is who's he gonna fight? Froch wont fight him in a rematch, I doubt Ward will be keen and not sure what's going on with his career now that Goosen has passed away and he's not gonna fight his Brother and also he's not gonna get the fight with Abraham.

okay

would also be a dangerous move for him...i think he wants no part of the big boys at LH

Good topic, I agree that LHW is getting deeper and more competitive. I voted for Kovalev, who I think will beat Hopkins and would beat Stevenson too.

Bertebiev - too inexperienced to make a call on at this point, but he is a fine prospect.

He did also tweet that he'd fight between 168-185. I'm hoping he goes for the prestigious 185 title.
