The Canadian media has just announced Adonis Stevenson will likely be fighting Dmitry Sukhotsky.

Obviously there is better fights out there but that isnt actually that bad of a fight. I know Sukhotsky looked like shit against White but he pushed a fellow southpaw in Braehmer pretty hard and actually hurt him quite badly a few times.

Stevenson wins this one handy enough. Either by a wide points victory or mid-to-late stoppage.

Can't even imagine the griping if this were Hopkins or Ward title fight. This guy lost to Braehmer five years ago (Braehmer, you remember, was hammered by Garay at home the only time he fought a belt holder) and was beaten easily in Vegas a few years back. Sukhotsky will give him rounds, and maybe that is all he's looking for, but he has no real chance of winning
This is fine, but after Kovalev beats Hopkins, no more excuses for Kovalev v Stevenson no happening

Cant argue with that. It has to happen after this one. Whatever fight is he going to make decent money in anybar? I mean bar Pascal? I mean I guess it would be Bute but he looks like shit at the moment as it is.

He could fight Beterbiev first, another Canadian derby. If he handles Artur, it could boost his confidence for the Kovalev fight.

Sukhotsky's loss to Braehmer was questionable as a shady referee protected the home boxer and gave Braehmer time to recover when he was out on his feet (watch the fight). Sukhotsky was suffering from heat exhaustion that evening in Vegas against Cornelius White.

I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Stevenson, although the officials in Montreal will no doubt do all they can to help the home boxer.

I would love it if Sukhotsky were to KO the pimp.
