Valuev/Ruiz highlights and other German fights...

Found this link on Fightnews. It gives highlights of all the latest fights in Germany. First one is the Valuev/Ruiz fight. Not the most exiting fight I've ever watched but interesting.

Ruiz got jobbed!

All Valuev was doing was throwing jabs and the odd straight! When Ruiz got in close Valuev held him.

Seen the fight in full and scored it 115-115. (5 rounds a piece and two even).

I can see a case for either man, but I did think Ruiz' case was stronger as he generally won his rounds bigger. Some of Valuev's rounds could have been level or even too Ruiz.

However, I'm glad the Valuev got the nod - cause Ruiz' should have won it out of sight. There was MUCH more too his punches, he was so much quick and Valuev didn't make much use of his size.... BUT, Ruiz's lack of work made me feel that Valuev wanted it more.

In a rematch, I think Ruiz will win..... So dissapointed he didn't just work that little bit harder - Valuev is a seriously weak puncher, without much idea how to use his size. Valuev was allowing Ruiz to fight how he normally does (holding) without causing any problems, just for 5 of the rounds I thought Ruiz didn't do enough and Valuev's pitta patta jabs was enough to win the rounds.

Did Ruiz really think he could go to Germany and just do enough to win the rounds, any close round would most likely have gone to Valuev.
If Ruiz had thrown more shots he would have won, I feel he only has himself to blame for the loss

Think Ruiz cannot work 3 minutes of a round and when he does have a big round he likes to rest.

i've seen valuev once or twice on eurosport and i thought ruiz would win a close fight. valuev is a decent fighter, but as u rightly say he just doesn't use that size enuff and the power is no big factor.

the donald fight was debateable as well. valuev was just scoring with straight punches and donald was just not peppering em in enuff.
