Soliman has a big call to make now and the extent of his knee injury might be a factor.

Yeah I would not have believed he couldnt make the weight. It all seems wrong to me. If his knee is OK I wouldn't mind him making one last payday in Australia.I dont think he has ever made the big dollars maybe Mundine Soiliman at Middleweight? I think he could safely take that fight without being hurt.
No bullshit titles, just for the money.
oh by the way Sam, I think Ron Casey from TV ringside might well have referred to you as 'A real one', his highest praise.

Think he was at the Mt Isa rodeo in August and the Birdsville races in September.
Some of our boxing tent experts may have more info.

Have to wonder if Sam hurt his knee in preparing for the fight and then just hoped it would go the distance? It might explain why he struggled to make weight and he isn't the sort of guy that would use it as an excuse.

What sort of shape was Col in? Did it look like most of his preparation had taken place in the local?

I think we are all aware of that. More wondering what kind of shape Col is in now he's retired from pro boxing.

A decent win against a creditable opponent should put him back in line for an eliminator or reasonable pay day. He still has much to offer if his knee has come good. Sam was in career best form, regardless of age. Hopefully he can regain it.

When Soliman shocked the hardcore fans to duck the king Golovkin to fight a completely washed up Jermain Taylor (which then spectacularly backfired) many fans questioned why ? His team/fans then loudly defended their man by stating that the Taylor fight was fight 1 in a 3 fight plan( choc Mundine's old trick) which would bring him millions and a huge 3rd fight.

My question is this. If Soliman had have beaten the washed up Jermain Taylor then who would he have actually gone on to fight in fight 2 and then fight 3 of his 3 fight plan ?

Hassan N'Dam 31-1 and David Lemieux 33-2 will contest the IBF middleweight title, vacated by Jermain Taylor, on June 20th in Canada.

The IBF still have Sam Soliman handily placed at #5, and as there will not be a new champion until June and their number 2 ranking is vacant, the IBF only rank 3 fighters higher than Soliman.

I wont hear of this poo..
U want to bag this man?
No boxer has worked harder than Sam.
Sure there's better...but none more dedicated.
He is a real life 'rocky'.
An example of what can be done through determination
And having to fight off the negativity of
losses to Mundine
This OP that is obviously an ignorant dickwad
The IBF rate only 3 fighters higher than Sam Soliman. Namely N'Dam & Lemieux, who will contest the vacant title on June 20th, and Billy Joe Saunders

IBF ratings as of April 2015:

1. Hassan N'Dam
2. NOT RATED
3. Billy Joe Saunders
4. David Lemieux
5. Sam Soliman
6. Sergio Mora
7. Eamonn O'Kane
8. Tureano Johnson
9. Ryota Murata
10. Curtis Stevens

What a complete insult to every other fighter. So you are saying Sam works harder than Geale
