Reading Mike Tyson's "Undisputed Truth"

Mike was certainly a feral child. It seems Cus taught him a lot about how to be a great fighter, not so much about just being a good man.

But he seems to be in a different place now.


Lots of good anecdotes though most of them are already familiar to fight fans.

I liked Ray Leonard's autobiography as well...Ray had his demons but not like Mike.

It raises the question can you do violence for a living and not be a violent guy. Can you leave your job at work?

The thing I remember most about Mikes boot is the amount of time he said he got high.

SRL's autobiography is also one of my favourites.

He was remarkably candid & honest about himself & his failures as a man.

SRL's autobiography was a good read. I also enjoyed De La Hoya's and what it meant to him to be a Mexican American and how he balanced and blended the two.

This is a good read on Tyson. A lot of interesting inside info about Mike. McKinley says Mike has nine different personalities. People like Bobby Czyz, Leroy Neiman, Bobby Joe Young, Roberto Duran step up and say some great things about Mike.

I quite enjoyed the first half of the book especially when he first started boxing. You could really tell he fell in love in love with it and it really did save his life. Once the book got into his drugged out haze it got a little goofy for me and I felt like I was reading a led zeppelin bio.
