Xmas is always the same here in the UK.

If your single, your drunk for the full 2weeks.

If your married you are sober for the best part of two weeks cos your the one doing the driving...because who wants to play catch up :-?

No wonder they put nothing on the tv...who would get the chance to watch it....the kids are screaming around the house the in-laws are arguing and the neighbours are puking in your hedge...

The hunt tomorrow so I`ll have achance to make up a little...just hope the dogs can drag me home

Finished work on Tuesday for 2 weeks, since then I went out drinking on the Tuesday, pub again on Wednesday, clubbing on Thursday and Friday, pub again on Saturday and today is my first full day in the house for what feels like a decade. I'm not single either, got a girl on the go part time so don't picture me as some pathetic drunk without a life besides the bottle. :D Didn't get any boxing related stuff this year, probably because I've got all that I want already.

Back to the point, that must be a wind-up selling that fight on DVD. It was on prime time on national TV FFS! Who in their right mind will buy that tripe? You'd have more fun switching Sky on and watching the previews on the Front row channel than watching that load of bollocks again.

One other thing, why have Boxing News not done a 'XMas special' issue this year? I know last year's was a bit of a joke, but it's just a bog standard issue if you take away the 'we'll be back on Jan 6th, have a good break' comment from Claude Abrams. Where is the best fights of the year, best fighters, etc? Or am I wrong and these are normally included in the new year issue? My memory is crap.

Didn't he do well. :TU:

I was suprised i never got the usual Boxing Barmy/Crazy type DVD. Theres only so many times you can watch Jonny Nelson and Herol Graham pretend to fight, or watch Tyson KO Berbick :D

BN has lost the plot as far as I am concerned.

Claude Abrams is by far the best boxing writer out there he really is that good, but as for BN :-? :( somebody really needs to get a grip there.

The content has gone down hill big time over the last few years and If they aren`t carefull they will lose all their regulars..and that will be the end of the paper, because they are doing nothing to attract the new-comers.

There is too much padding in the paper, adverts, pictures and amateur.

I look through it at the newsagents and if it grabs me I`d buy it...but it has been awhile

Got the Ricky Hatton DVD signed by Ricky Hatton himself. The lengths my mum goes to. Was made up though. Ricky would only sign it if he could put 'To Sean' on, probably cos people have been trying to make money off his signature.

Merry Xmas gents. If you're having a good as time as me I'll see you down A&E in a day or two.

No boxing stuff for me this year. I bought the missus a necklace and she replied "where's the ring" and she said it in a way that wasn't obviously jokular. :o If either of us sober up by March or so that could be an interesting conversation
