Should Gennady Golovkin be in the top 10 P4P?
Re: Should Gennady Golovkin be in the top 10 P4P?
I think we have a similar situation at SMW. We have Ward clearly a step above everybody else. Then we have Froch and Kessler, and that's it (I would add Andre Dirrell if he wasn't such a pussy).
Groves, DeGale, Abraham, Stieglitz, Bika, Anthony Dirrell, JCCJ are all about the same level as a bigger version of Geale.
Speaking about Chavez, let's not forget that he had an even fight with Rubio and one of the fights with Vera.

I dont think so in regards to Geale. I honestly believe if they were the same size, Groves, Degale, Bika *more prime version* and anthony Dirrell would beat Geale. Abraham and Stieglitz for me are a level below those other guys even though they have won world titles and what have you. I'd pick the likes of Groves and Degale to beat Abraham and Stieglitz now.ikorolev wrote:I think we have a similar situation at SMW. We have Ward clearly a step above everybody else. GGG is obviously above these 2.
LOL, GGG above Pac! Wow, this forum, these boxing fans of today. Froch has beaten superior competition than Gennady yet no fan thinks he belongs in the P4P, Golovkin has beaten a bunch of nobodies (not his fault the other guys are afraid of him) but the truth is what it is.
Froch has a better resume, even with his losses. No way Gennady belongs in the Top 10 P4P, especially if we are going to say that a fighter like Manny Pacquiao doesn't belong there.

... and KBB is not reading again. Achievements from 10 years ago shouldn't matter when creating a current p4p list. Yes, we are boxing fans of today, and you are obviously one from yesterday.
Re: Should Gennady Golovkin be in the top 10 P4P?
Yeah just throw out all the achievements of yesteryear, who cares, right??ikorolev wrote:... and KBB is not reading again. Achievements from 10 years ago shouldn't matter when creating a current p4p list. Yes, we are boxing fans of today, and you are obviously one from yesterday.
I think you have a lack of comprehension, Noobs. My current P4P list wouldn't include a guy beating a bunch of nobodies and you cannot simply throw out what any fighter has done to fit your argument.
Your bias is clearly showing.
Re: Should Gennady Golovkin be in the top 10 P4P?
That's why nobody cares about YOUR p4p list. Disclose your former id, Brut.

Re: Should Gennady Golovkin be in the top 10 P4P?
Probably not, but more people definitely agree with Golovkin belonging to top 10.KBB wrote:You honestly believe anyone cares about yours??ikorolev wrote:That's why nobody cares about YOUR p4p list. Disclose your former id, Brut.
Re: Should Gennady Golovkin be in the top 10 P4P?
Failed logic there, just because more people agree doesn't mean they're correct. Good luck with that though.ikorolev wrote:Probably not, but more people definitely agree with Golovkin belonging to top 10.

If Golovkin is top 10 from looking good against nobodies Wilder is #1 for sure

I just love the hypocrisy in here. People criticize Golovkin for not moving up in weight and for calling out people in a lower division like Cotto or Mayweather...yet they don't criticize Ward for the same damn thing. The same people who are criticizing Golovkin for calling out smaller men are probably the same people who had no problem with Bernard Hopkins facing DLH. Why doesn't Ward move up to Light Heavyweight?

I criticized Ward for calling out Gennady, I think Andre should be doing the same thing that I think Golovkin should be doing; since neither of them can get a big fight in their current weight class then both should move up (not down) and look to challenge themselves vs the bigger guys.
Re: Should Gennady Golovkin be in the top 10 P4P?
Did Wilder face recent world champs or somebody with 50 KOs on his record or anybody with KO ratio greater than 1/2 ? Or somebody from top 10 ?Othro wrote:If Golovkin is top 10 from looking good against nobodies Wilder is #1 for sure

It's obvious that my post wasn't for the benefit of you either, it was just to go on record with how I feel about the two of them.

As I've said before, Pacquiao's last win, all by itself, is superior to Golovkin's entire body of work added together.

It must be for the benefit of me as you responded to it with my post as a quote. Stop being a dumb ass, we have enough of those in here.KBB wrote:Baby Face Finster wrote:It's obvious that my post wasn't directed at you then isn't it?

First off, I didn't insult you in any way, shape or form; so I'm not sure why you are getting so upset and resulting to insults. Second, I responded in kind stating why I made my post, either you accept it or not.Baby Face Finster wrote:It must be for the benefit of me as you responded to it with my post as a quote. I only quoted you because you brought up the issue in context of the topic (which I'm allowed to respond to anyone at anytime), I thought it was a valid point you made in regards to being fair about the situation between the two of them so I just wanted everyone to know how I felt about it but it wasn't for your benefit, it was for everyone else.Baby Face Finster wrote:I apologize, but don't quote me and then say it wasn't meant for me.
If you hadn't brought it up then it wasn't some random thought I just would've made up, you made a fair assessment to which I found a time to go on record without bias towards either of them.
